"We ha- Hey, what the hell? Operator, what the hell is this? Where is my tactical display?!" Screamed Tierney, his face reddened at the sight of this... girl on his tactical screen.

"Tracing... It appears to be outside interference. Switching to backups... No change. Activating countermeasures... here we go. Systems online, we've regained access to the military networks. Civilian systems are down across the country, and international links are also malfunctioning. We've traced the disruption's energy signature to various points around the globe, but the strongest by far is just off the Windonian shore.

"Sir, Permission to use Achilles?"

The summer-clad man was silent for less than a second, "Once it fires, they'll know what it is. Fire at will, commander, and if I were you I'd fire quickly. They'll see through it soon enough."

Off the northwest coast of the Windonian Empire, a geostationary communications satellite that had acted as the first internation link to the empire from Area 11 suddenly began to vibrate, losing connections and rotating, while beginning to fall. To any other observer, it would appear that the deluge of data from the empire had simply crippled the satellite, causing the communications, and subsequently positioning, systems to crash and send the satellite into the ocean.

That was not to be, however. As the satellite began to pick up speed, heat-shielding was blown off the bottom of it, revealing what looked like six long rods, held in place by clamps and circular discs down the length of the rods. As if on cue, the assembly began to rotate, and shortly thereafter the rods were launched from the satellite towards the energy readings that Area 11 had picked up. With the fall disturbing the assembly's aim, only one of the rods wound up flying towards the disturbance. The others were aimed all around the area, some aiming for water and others for the nearby coastline.

The rods themselves were a decidedly low-tech weapon, simply kinetic energy weapons. What made them so deadly was their size. Each rod was pure titanium, shaped and sized like a full-on telephone pole.

The rods began to fall towards their destinations, as the satellite burned up in re-entry. The Empire would answer for the attack on Area 11. And it would answer soon.

Teyla: ... We have spies among us.

Soap: Guh?

Tyler: How do you know?

Teyla: My Lunatic Eyes. I could tell everything that was going one. I retraced through their systems and their data.

Her eyes were wide and shaking.

Teyla: The Empire... killed... so many people in their country.

She shook her head. She didn't want to have to end up doing this, but she had no other choice. She picked up the phone.

Teyla: Mei?

Mei: Yes Teyla-sama?

Teyla: Have the healers all cast shield spells around the coast as previously planned... and get ready to... cast the illusionary border.

Mei: .... Yes Teyla-sama.

She hung up. Tyler was shocked, and Soap was confused.

Teyla: Tyler, you have the Lunatic Eyes too. If you see anyone from the Empire, assassinate them. You should be able to tell.

Tyler: ... R-right...

She headed for the door.

Teyla: I'm going on a nation-wide manhunt. I'll be back in 5 hours tops.

She mumbled a spell, and gained the wings and speed of a Tengu. She left at a rather blistering pace.

Soap: Aiyaaa... Soap no know she would cause all-out global thermonuclear war.

Tyler called Meizuki.

Tyler: Make sure to get the magical girls ready too. Their transformation scenes will buy us time if SHION or the Empired decides to attack.

Mei: Alright Prince Tyler-sama.

He also called Commissioner FirePhoenix

Tyler: Hey, dude, could you come over here? I want someone to hang out with.

What a fucking day.

Teyla: Something isn't right... I swear I've heard of SHION before... on... on that.. On that forum I go to. Luj.... Oh my god... If they're as bad as Rivantec has written... dear lord.

She stopped in the tracks about to come down on her 52nd Empire soldier in their area alone, and rushed towards the coast. There were gonna be subs, and she knew it.

(OOC: AND I DIDN'T CAPITALIZE THE 'THE' IN THE EMPIRE ON PURPOSE. MUHAHAHAHAHA.)

Commissioner Alexander "FP" [DATA EXPUNGED] sat asleep at his desk with his feet propped up on it. Shouldn't he be working? He would, if he knew what the hell his job was actually supposed to do. He'd gotten the title of Commissioner from Tyler but never any orders as to what the job held. He had a sneaking suspicion that he'd gotten the job simply because he'd been Tyler's good friend since childhood despite the fact that Tyler was royalty and he wasn't. Or were royalty and nobility the same? He didn't care, he was just happy to have a job that required nothing of him and still kept the food on the table.

Nobody really told him anything either, so he'd fallen asleep without knowledge of what was going on in the outside world and how in the span of a couple hours, the simple world as he knew it was changing forever.

His desk phone rang suddenly, causing him to stir and open one eye. Pushing the fedora on his head out of his eyes, he slowly picked up the phone to hear Tyler's voice asking for him to come up to wherever he was.

FP: Woke me up from a nice nap Tyler. Havin' a good dream too. Yeah, yeah, I'll be up there. Where are you currently?

Still holding the phone, he slipped on the pair of mahogany loafers next to the desk, waiting for Tyler's response.

Tyler: I'm in Teyla's bedroom. If you want we could head to uh... I dunno. A park?

He sighed. Terrrrible day today.

Teyla neared the coast. In the brush, she turned invisible using her Lunatic Eyes. She slipped quietly under the water. She was going to swim to international waters. She was sending out radar-jamming waves as well. Virtually undetectable, she would attack from behind, and not violate any damn treaties. Meizuki would have enough time to get ready to cast the illusionary border with this new distraction.

FP: A park sounds fine. I'll meet you at Marisa Park near the mansion in 15 minutes.

He hung up the phone and grabbed his keys, watch, ID, wallet, and phone before slinging his jacket over his shoulder and walking out of the room.

Fifteen minutes later, FP was sitting on a bench in Marisa Park, watching the people going about their business. Today felt weird though. There was a strange feeling in the air, an unsettling quiet. He wondered what it was as he saw Tyler approaching and flagged him down. Once he'd gotten close, FP stood up and started walking with him.

FP: Nice to see you Tyler.

He decided to cut to the chase.

FP: No one tells me anything down in that room of mine. Something's going on, isn't it? The world seems deathly quiet today and surely you didn't just call me out for a nice walk in the park for no reason. What's happened?

Tyler: Soap started global thermonuclear war by accident. Man, you must really not have much in that room. The entire population was addressed. Twice. By countries that probably will attack us.

He sighed.

Tyler: And things were so peaceful before too.

FP: I saw Teyla's address but after that went went to sleep. Dude, I mute my TV and compy when I sleep. Wish I could find a way to mute the phone too...

He got serious.

FP: So, we're at war now. Can't say I'm completely surprised, the world has seemed to be on the verge of it for a while now. Tensions in the past months have been getting worse. *He noticed the look Tyler was giving him* What? Just because I sit in a room sleeping and not having any official work to do doesn't mean I don't keep better informed than the average person.

FP: So, is there any way I can be of assistance Tyler? It's not like I don't have the time on my hands and seeing as we're at war, I'd think you could use all the help you can get.

Teyla kept swimming. Fuck, these subs were far away.

Tyler: Not much I think. I don't even know what a comissioner does.... Well... You could help me get ready for my date later.

A smile and a sweatdrop.

FP let slip a slight smile.

FP: A date, eh? You rascal, you. Come on, let's get back to the mansion so you can get ready. If today's the last day before all-out war, might as well make it a good one.

The two friends left the park and walked back towards Remilan Manor.

He looked in the windows of some nearby shops on the road they were walking.

((OOC: Come on guys, let's not let this die like the last one! D: ))

FP had had a feeling that Viarra was the girl Tyler was talking about. Viarra was one of Teyla's advisors, as well as one of her close friends, so she was often with both Teyla and Tyler a lot. She came from the wealthy Bellamier family. As a result, the four had all grown up together, becoming good friends through the years. FP knew that Tyler liked Viarra and had been wondering when he'd actually ask her out. He smiled at Tyler.

FP: So, you finally worked up the courage to ask her out, did you? Good for you! So...something special...what about a necklace? One that matches her eyes or hair. I'm sure she'd love it.

Tyler: Well...

He thought.

Tyler: There's a gem in Mom's old "Jewlery Room" that might do it, but I hate going there. Bad vibes.

He paused and looked in a window of a geology store. A beautiful blue-green sapphire with a vein of pure blue ran through it. Round, and polished. In the store on the other side a gold necklace with no stone set in it.

Tyler: That'd do. Perfect.

FP: Then let's get them and head back to the manor. We don't want to be gone too long just in case tensions begin to escalate further.

The two went into the two shops and purchases the sapphire and the necklace, and had the store owner who sold them the necklace cut and place the stone into it. Satisfied, FP and Tyler both headed back towards Remilan manor.

With absolutely no response whatsoever from the Windonian Empire, the six titanium rods impacted all around the coastline surrounding the tower, as well as one rod impacting the tower directly. When the smoke from the blasts cleared, the tower and anything up to half a kilometer from the shore had simply ceased to exist as a result of the kinetic power of the rods.

Tyler: She's gonna love this!

They were in Tyler's room. He was thinking about what to wear.

Teyla happened upon the choppers finally. Also those subs I was talking about. Being in international waters, she was free to do what she wanted. Keeping her invisibility and radar jamming going, she placed large drill projectiles behind every chopper just in case. Noticing the subs she swam down, and began knocking on the windows. Distraction time!

Operator 2: Ma'am, enemy attack on the northwest shoreline where one of the fake towers was installed.

Lurexa: What a pity they unknowingly failed. Losses?

Operator 2: None.

Lurexa: Open national communications line for our attackers.

As if already planned, the entire network line for Area 11 was hacked as Lurexa's face appeared on every screen in the nation.

Lurexa: I would have loved to play more games with such primative beings, but it seems nobody is willing to ask simple questions before knowing the rules. I will have to begin.

She took a sip of tea. Within Area 11, hundreds of explosions went off at random parts.

Lurexa: How does it feel to be up against the strongest military ever to exist?

On the south shoreline of Area 11, twenty boats emerged from the water and crashed on the beaches. From them, soldiers poored out and began firing guns at anyone and anything. After the gun soldiers emerged, robed men floated out to the shoreline, casting spells of destruction on the beach. Finally, once every soldier was gone from the boats, the boats themselves turned into walking mechs.

Lurexa: Such charletons.

The communication ceased.

Lurexa: Prepare for Azuria conquest.

Operator 3: Yes ma'am!

The east coast of the empire was home to what seemed like small quiet villages. However, within less than a minute, every man, woman, and child was immediately dressed in Windonian Empire garb, armor, and weaponry. They all began running simultaneously into the country of Azuria.

"Operator, where is our backup? Why is her signal still getting through?" Asked Tierney, his face reddening.

"They knocked it offline, sir. Switching to EMP Wired. Tactical coming online.. and it looks like there`s an attack force on Stuttgart shore. EMP controls online. Activating shielding... Command lines secure.

The summer-clad man spoke up. "Well, it seems that with all those blasts, they've managed to kill all of a few thousand civilians. Command the military to attack, and engage the defensive emplacements against the forces that have just landed. Kill them all. Painfully."

With a soft whir, three large concealed gun emplacements on the hillsides above the beach woke. Quietly targeting the mechs and wizards still on the beach, the guns let out a withering barrage, punctuated by the sharp crack of the mechs exploding. When the guns wound down, there were no survivors anywhere near the beach. The troops in the forest faired little better as smaller antipersonnel turrets activated.

"Okay, with that order of business done... Operator, engage the ASTEC underwater attack system. Destroy any Windonian vessel within range- civilian or not. All's fair in love and war, so let's respond."

"L, we have a problem."

"Huh? Oh, what is it, Christine?"

"Most of the rebel forces were quited by our operation."

"That sounds like good news to me."

"Well, the rest were infuriated. A group of rebels, mostly those from the city of New Zarsberg, have taken our collection of Imperial Plasma Rifles, which we still haven't figured out, and they have taken off towards Mahoukyo~ in a few stolen Imperial Dropships. Many of them have also taken our experimental Vulture Gyrocopters."

"Uh, what are those again?"

"Don't you remember? They are a sort of helicopter armed with L Cannons, the most powerful weapon we have developed since the revolution."

"Oh, right, that thing that could blow up entire buildings. Why was that named after me again?"

"That's not important, L. We, as comrades, need to deal with this band of rebels before they ruin any possibility for good relations we could have with this nation."

"Alright, what do you think we should do about it?"

"Obviously, we need to shoot them down before—"

"What? We can't kill fellow comrades! That was one of the very reasons we revolted against Zaroff in the first place!"

"Look, L, they aren't our comrades anymore if they gave up on us."

"Maybe we are the ones who gave up on them, Christine. After all, we tried to lie to our entire nation, every single one of our comrades."

"We did that to protect them, L, and to protect them again, we need to do this."

"No. Call them traitors, or brand them as criminals, but don't can't kill them; that's an order."

"L, trying to act like a leader doesn't mean you'll be a good one."

"Yes, well, I, um... I really think that this is the right thing to do. Besides, it was our goal from the start to do the right thing, and I don't think that includes killing our comrades."

"...Fine, but if your lack of action starts a war we can't win, don't blame me."

Christine picked up the red phone again, conversed with the person on the other end for about five minutes, and then firmly placed it down.

"By the way, L, they're known collectively as the Blue Riband now."

Christine walked out before L could ask any questions about the previous statement, so he just sat there and dwelled upon his past.

The Blue Riband forces continued their flight to Mahoukyo~ uninterrupted as they neared the nation's border.

As Tyler was figuring out what to wear, FP was reading the military updates that Tyty was getting on his computer. He called out to Tyler.

FP: Looks like the Windowians are serious now. From what we're receiving, they detonated hundreds of explosives within various parts of Area 11 and then sent a massive fleet to invade. Area 11 repulsed them however.

He continued reading, when one caught his eye.

FP: A large group of people from Seven are crossing our southern border. They are informing us that they seek refuge. Our commanders want to know what you think Tyler.
