Well, supposedly it's supposed to be a serious threat to your life, leave you bedridden and in overall bad condition. Didn't happen, though. I was up, about, doing work, doing heavy lifting, etc. The only thing I felt differently was I was out of breath faster. Either I'm a trooper (which is unlikely as I'm usually physically weak) or this isn't as cracked up as it's claimed to be.

oh no THE COLD!!

Well the thing about swine flu victims in the states is that they typically get very sick and then fight off the infection early enough so they don't die. My cousins are residents at a hospital in Brooklyn. They were sick with the Swine Flu for a month and then got better. But they probably won't get it ever again now that their bodies have figured out what antibodies to use to fight off any infection.

These silly diseases are peanuts compared to ones we know how to eradicate. That's the disgusting part. We're still screwing the colonies over. Shame on North America and Europe. shame shame shame.

I VERY VERY RARELY get sick! Go me!

Last time I was considerably ill was I don't remember but it was years ago. But I used to get sick a lot. My immune system must've just figured itself out.

Well, mild flu usually doesn't land you in bed with a high fever and vomiting and all that great stuff.

For all I know, I might have had H1N1 a few months ago. If I did, it was really mild; either that or I just felt run-down.

Hmm... My nose is kinda stuffy.

I don't think I have a fever. I haven't taken my temperature, but my earwax isn't melting, so I'm fine.

Hey, if this is manbirdpig flu, I don't have anything to worry about.

Some guy at work got the H1N1. Not sure who it was, they just posted a noticed in the back of the kitchen.

There have been a lot of signs around campus along the lines of "STOP GERMS - WASH YOUR HANDS". Of course, it would help if teachers here weren't so unforgiving about absences

I have a pretty strong immune system. Apparently that's a liability in swine flu (an unsubstantiated claim of cytokine storms), so I would prefer to avoid it. Last time I got sick, I got the norovirus. That shit ISN'T FUN:

"The disease is usually self-limiting, and characterised by nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain; and in some cases, loss of taste."

The reason that Norovirus sucks is that all four of those things (I didn't get loss of taste) all happen at the very same time.

Well, all of my problems are almost gone, thank goodness. Hopefully I won't get anything else for awhile. Although I still have some of the ringworm on my foot...
