Basically, I start all kinds of projects and then not finish them. ROM hacks, ZC quests, stories, you name it. Even playing video games It's like I have a short attention span, so I lose interest in whatever it was.
Yep, I live alone so I often have no incentive to keep the apartment clean
With writing, people say that getting published is the hardest thing. I'd say that it's actually finishing a piece of writing to begin with that's the hardest
I got plenty of those too, from all the way back to when I made games on my old Macintosh (I'd start one, work on it for a while, get bored and do other stuff, then later start another), to my ROM hacks (I did at least finish Strange Mario Bros 1, but not the rest), board2 and even a few games I didn't play all the way through
If it's a personal project such as a hack then I will definitely finish it at some point, I don't like to put a lot of time into something just so that I can forget about it later .
I almost always finish video games that I play as well unless the get really boring at some point (I'll never stop playing a video game out of frustration, I don't get annoyed if I have to try 100+ times to beat something ).

Everything. All the time. 100% of all personal projects. I've written 5% of each of 5 video games.
Also, most of my posts on this forum never happen, I give up and stop after five to ten sentences. Something about the atmosphere here makes me really want all my posts to actually matter or something. Pfft, as if anyone was really evaluating them by that kind of standard.
Though I 'finish' making stepfiles sometimes (in that I get to the end of the song), they're never immune to revisions, so I'm never fully satisfied with one to the point where I will release it online.
It's really only games that I never finish. I can get all the way up to the final dungeon/boss with ease, but if I die once in that area, I'll suddenly quit the game and never go back to it.
It's a bad habit, I guess. I'd like to actually -finish- some of my games for once.

Originally posted by KyarguI don't think I've ever finished a personal project of mine at all during my lifetime.
I have around 20 unfinished ZC quests and like 3 or 4 unfinished ROM hacks. Don't get me started on games I haven't beaten.
I Hate Mayonnaise.
It was like 30 seconds long and it sucked horribly. It doesn't count because I didn't actually put effort into it.
I wanted to make an SMB3 hack of my own, but I know for a fact that I'd lose motivation like 5 minutes into it, so I decided to not even bother to start it.

I think it looks pretty fun to play. :<
As for myself, well. I have started shit loads of ROM hacking projects. A few smaller ones got done but not much more. But the big one I'm working on ATM is like, 80% done so I'm really putting my effort into getting it done!

I have so many concurrent projects going on right now. It's not that I lose interest in finishing things, it's that other projects have higher priority. The things I don't work on aren't cancelled, but rather quietly being planned and thought over in the background.
Though, to be fair, many of my projects could be called very ambitious, I guess.

I had an SMB1 hack that was stuck at 7-2 for something like two and a half years Then, by the time I finally finished it, I was gone from Acmlm's and had nowhere to release the hack
