I had Prego sauce go bad on me recently and it wasn't even past the date but had mold on it immediately on opening. About barfed right then and there.

That's like the meat compartment here... it's literally got to have things from 2004 in it, there was something that was nothing but mold

I should really take my camera in there again, I think there's a large tub of cookie dough from the late 1990's!

That reminds me, last Sunday I ate some homemade burgers with mustard that's been in the fridge since April 2006.

Yum. Still good

Just the other day I found some dressing that was about a year old in the fridge. It was unusually ..liquid.. and had a strong, sour taste. That's when I checked it's date. Unfortunately I had already poured it all over the salad I was about to eat.

Reminds me of the one day I say "Hm, I'll have some Yogurt!" And all the 'cans'(I guess? I have no idea what to call the yogurt container-thingies) were dated two years ago. How do things stay in there for that long without being noticed and thrown out? It is crazy. Atleast I didn't eat any of it. That would not have been good.

You probably didn't notice that the food was expired because it was likely in the back of the fridge where it is easily forgotten. That's what happens to some of my food before.

Things get stuck behind other things or (in some cases ) glued by gunk to the bottom of the fridge.

It's nasty.

Vanilla Pudding. I ate one spoonful out of it, then as I dug my spoon in there was a big harry mold blob in the center.

Needless to say I have sworn off pudding.

Then there was an old lady once who saved food rations from WORLD WAR II in her many freezers.

Yeah. I remember eating some weird flavor of Candy Cane ice cream that they only made 10-15 years ago. It was crazy.

I have never seen any outdated food in stores before. In the mornings, people always check EVERYTHING about 3 times and throw them out.

It's a nice system we have here.

Nah, it was on the bottom shelf, but all the yogurt is always in the front of the fridge, it's kind of indicative of how healthy we are that no one wanted yogurt for two years. I may be thin, but probably not that healthy.

Heh, the other day I made a glass of chocolate milk and thought "hm, this tastes funny". The milk had expired a week ago.

That reminds me, I'm out of milk....

^ Old, bad milk happens to often for me I have a habit of checking the expiration date every time I reach for it

A couple weeks ago, opened a container of whipped cream. Entirely mold.

Take a picture of it, put it on eBay and auction it off as a Catholic relic.

Hm... we have some ridiculously ancient looking cardboard ration boxes in our garage... they were left here by the people who lived here before us.

I found Sloppy Joe mix in a tupperware container from 1989. It was marked. I opened it and almost puked,

I'm almost entirely sure we have Klondike bars from 17 years ago in our freezer...

I think my dad ate some of them a few weeks ago...
