I don't know what's so great about this raocow dude playing it.
I have to say that I HATE him after watching that video. He just keep saying all these stupid things that are not even funny. When I watch a let's play I watch it for the good commentary, if you're boring then it's not fun to watch. And this was just annoying to watch. V_v

Actually I find that having anyone do an LP of it is pretty amazing. It definitely wasn't something that I was expecting (especially so soon after release).

When I try the hack, I can't move on the overworld and when I try to enter the stage, I just get a bonus game that doesn't end.

What version of the patch do you have? Some of the earlier versions can cause weird things to happen. I just updated the download link with V1.06, please give that a try .

Nope, I still get the same issue I had v1.05, but v1.06 does the same thing.

I don't know what ROM version I have, as I got a lot of ROMs before the file names were standardized. Some ROMs are still kicking around since 2001 when it was called like "smw.smc" on one Web site and "MARIO4.SMC" on another.

You might want to just find a new one. I know Zophar hosts roms though there's no direct link to them from the main page. Just google it.

The hack is pretty awesome. The only gripe I've had so far is the skull ride in the ice castle. Because the ice flag is set, the skulls are slippery, and there's one jump you can't see where the skulls are. I lost like, 9 lives to that part. ;;

Also, what's the music for the first level anyways? It's rather familiar.

I just played through the level and I had no problem seeing where there skulls were although I do understand that the slippery flag makes the skull part quite a bit more difficult...
