PHP reminds me of Xkeeper. Good, because previously it reminded me of the Glyph Phoenix disaster.

Nevada and Las Vegas reminds me of Xkeeper.

Civil wars in internet communities remind me of Acmlm's.

Dreams remind me of Xkeeper's dream log.

Sweden reminds me of some vague Acmlm's members. I don't remember exactly who and where though.

Darkdata's presence in my IRC room reminds me of Jul's existence.

My website control panel (at Dreamhost) reminds me of how Xkeeper referred me to it.

And PHP security reminds me of Acmlmboard's zillion holes when it isn't patched. MD5 reminds me of Acmlm's as well as REGISTER GLOBALS.

Quebec reminds me of Acmlm and by extension Acmlmboards. To be fair, it also reminds me of this guy from Quebec I used to talk to pretty regularly.
Sweden reminds me of Ailure more than anybody else.
Ballad of a Bloodline (a Zelda Classic quest) reminds me of Electrometer Prime and his long-ass LP of it.
Touhou and ROM hacking remind me of Jul in general.

Also, here are some comparisons for people I've known people for years outside of Jul. I'm not sure if they count, though...
Philadelphia, Disgaea, and hawks/eagles remind me of Bloodstar. ... as do packages of hot dogs. Don't ask why.
Chiptunes in general remind me of hydrapheetz, as does Slackware.
Garland from Final Fantasy reminds me of Exate.
Mac OS X reminds me of Bagel. As does the number 744. As does... the name "Fred". (okay, that one I really can't explain--Bagel's name is not even Fred to my knowledge)

Most of those are pretty obvious.

It still makes me think of Children of Bodom, Sonata Arctica and The 69 Eyes. I haven't been on Jul long enough for it to really remind me of anything other than other Acmlm boards or WoW (for some godawful reason).

i also stumbled upon the ff7 nes translation project which led me to davideo7's vizzed board. Quite proud of the acmlmers I am.

Also I remember that Rand drew a Mr. Saturn on a TI-83 calculator and later I saw a flash video which featured the same drawing. It was on ebaumsworld for quite a while, don't know what it was called though.

I actually visited Sweden just few days ago. Should probably meet up with you someday.

There's few of these:

- Bitmap reminds me of Home Alone.
- Xkeeper reminds me of Lahar.
- And of course Xk = Xkeeper. No exceptions.
- Cave Story reminds me of- ah what the hell.

There's probably more.
