I guess you missed the part where this isn't an official demo, and from the looks of it is actually quite old.

It's not old. It was up for a bit for testing, and got leaked. The official version is out now.

The end is the insanely hard Tetrid game btw; I haven't managed to beat it, but apparently there's a short cutscene after it and the demo ends.
I asked Bob and he said it won't be necessary to beat it in the final game, but it will get you an extra item.

The best that I did was Level 7, 140 points.

Does anyone know when it actually ends?

EDIT: I just made it to level 9 with 180 points. At that point the game appears to enter seizure mode (all of the blocks start flashing).

EDIT2: New high score. Level 15 with 300 points.

EDIT3: I beat Tetrid with 500 points. There's a rather interesting cut scene after it

It's actually a PC port, not a NDS ROM this time. First demo wasn't very interesting, but perhaps this one is better, I'll give it a play tomorrow.

So I decided to give it a try. The main problem that I have with the demo is that it's demo 1 + demo 2, basically this means that if you want to see any of the new stuff you're going to have to beat Tetrid (which is still just as difficult as it was in the first demo). After beating Tetrid and reaching the second demo the clock in the top left corner of the screen (it used to be represented by question marks) starts working and as time passes (in the game a minute is equal to about 5-10 seconds) different events happen. You wake up at 5:45, your parents wake up at 6:00 and make breakfast, Yuu's dad leaves for work at 6:30, etc. After your dad leaves you're allowed to play Ping, after playing it for about 5 minutes I decided that I wanted to stop but instead of pressing shift (B) I accidentally pressed esc and it quit the demo. Now if I want to get back to the second demo I will have to play through the first demo all over again and I don't really feel like doing that right now. Even if you're good at Tetrid is still takes about 5-10 minutes to beat it .

I may post more about it later if I decide to play it again.

Hold down Q and Z and press [ repeatedly while in Tetrid. This is equal to L+Y+Select in the DS version. You can cheat your way through it this way.

Played most of the demo. Couldn't beat the Ramio minigame, but I guess there's not a lot after this. To get past Tetrid, I used the cheat above, and also induced some lag to beat Ping. That doesn't leave me very satisfied, if only the minigames were a bit easier than they could be actually be fun.

The story certainly is very original and has some potential, however the execution so far is somewhat poor. Quests are simplistic, dialogue is very limited and there isn't much stuff to do, most of the time you are stuck in locked environments without much going on. If only there was more of the free-roaming environments he showed in the first videos then I would know what to expect from the game, however in the current form it's sort of disappointing. Nevertheless, the original story idea still makes me want to play a full version so I can know how he has developed it.
