I'd wear either, really. I just wear briefs waaaay more often because I actually own briefs. All my old boxers are now too small.

For the longest time, I refused to wear underwear of any kind. (I still have no idea as to why, though, so don't ask.) Eventually, however, I began to wind up in situations where underwear would be far more convenient to have (locker rooms), so I began to wear boxers, as that transition was the easiest for me.
Now, even though I am no longer in those situations, I've decided to just keep wearing them, so that's where I am today.

Briefs. I got these special pairs of briefs for hiking back when I was going to hike in New Mexico and I just really like them. They're non-restricting and stretch so I never feel cramped or anything like I would with normal tighty-whities.

Pretty much anything male except boxers. I kinda really like shopping for new underwear, so I have more varieties than I can to count.

Usually I go for trunk-style, which are like abbreviated boxer-briefs. Off the top of my head I think I own the most in trunks, then briefs, boxer-briefs, jock straps, then true boxers.

C-IN2 is currently my favorite brand.

Constricted?

Ohhh, right, I remember you mentioning you had quite a bit to constrict, so I suppose that could be an issue.

Used to wear briefs when I was much younger, but only boxers now. Eventually came to a point where I couldn't be comfortable wearing anything that was a tight fit.

Now, I like boxer-briefs. Elastic on top like briefs, but loose in the legs like boxers.
