Like, transportation. Do you drive, walk, take the bus, etc.?

I never was interested in driving. I tried taking driver's education but dropped out. I hated going so fast, and I always felt like I was going to crash and kill myself or others (or at the very least wreck the vehicle). I think one day I did almost crash I might try driving again someday, but I don't particularly want to own a car with all the added expense at this point.

Today I walk if something is close, and otherwise mostly ride my bike or take the bus, which is pretty hard in Detroit. They basically planned it out so everyone would support the local auto industry and buy a car, so there are barely any buses, especially after 6:00 or so. With my school offering so many classes exclusively in the evening, if it's too snowy to ride my bike I have to fork over $13 for a cab home Plus it's dangerous to be out around here at night, and closer to Eight Mile it's dangerous during the day, too. In Germany and Seattle I had no problems taking mass transit unless it was way late.

I drive on the craziest most road-rage filled roads in the nation. In fact this morning, in the middle of pouring rain, I merged into a lane, but this guy wouldn't stop honking at me. I guess he had been speeding up and I ruined his brilliant plan to stay ahead of me or something. When he got the chance, he pulled into the right lane, sped up and tried to cut me off by dangerously merging into my lane. Too bad for him I leave a following so people can do crazy shit like that and I can react to it. Seeing how I wasn't affected he just pulled right out again and sped on down the road. His actions were screaming something like, "RAAAAWR!!!!!!!!! I AM SUPERIOR TO YOU!!!!"

I've had a learner's permit for nigh on three years now, I think. I'm still terrified of hurting someone when I'm driving, so mostly I walk everywhere or bum rides off friends and family. Fortunately I live on campus so there's no need to drive most of the time.

Dunno what I would do if I had to. Get over it, I guess.

Ride my bike or drive. Public transportation here sucks majorly. We only have city buses and, well, they are just awful. I used to take the bus a lot when I was younger.

For me, I really dislike cars in general, But that's because of the cost of gas and other maintenance expenses.
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to own a car, but money's tight for me! REALLY TIGHT! (college is on the way)

So I mainly take a bus or walk (They're a lot cheaper alternatives, and they don't waste gas :3)

ON A BOAT, naturally.

In all seriousness, I usually take the subway, specifically the 6 line.

yep, that's about right, but in my case, there's no open seat and you would be standing because all of the seats would be taken.

Detroit has the opposite problem. Often, I go on the bus and there is nobody there but the driver.

I either walk or have one of my parents drive me.
Simple, really.

I used to have my parents drive me everywhere. Usually my mom because my dad worked. Then, I moved away from them, so now I'm on my own transportation-wise.

Have a learner's permit since last summer, still haven't bothered to learn to drive. Since I don't live on campus (rent is ridiculous and I refuse to work and study at the same time), I have to commute with my mother every morning, since she works like five minutes away from campus. Of course, I'll have to see what I can do eventually, because the constant night classes/exams are starting to piss her off a bit... :/

Most of the time one of my parents drive me wherever I need to go. I drive myself the odd time although I'd rather be in the passenger's seat than the driver's seat (you can't play portable video games while driving) .

I drive. Old 1990 Accord, but it still runs great, and handles well, though the body is not in such great shape, and the AC doesn't work (it just blows air around, it needs a freon recharge) but I love my old car.

I just ... don't like driving places unless I absolutely need to. Otherwise it feels like wasted gas and wasted time.

Plus ... I've been driving for four years, and I still have a perfect record. No tickets, no accidents. Despite living in one of the worst towns in terms of traffic in Ohio.

I've not yet needed to travel very long distances, so ... I dunno what I would do without a car. I don't have a bike, so I'd get a ride from someone else. I'd walk if I absolutely had to.

I take the bus and then take the metro (subway). Gets me wherever I need to go without too many issues. Plus at least I can use the same smart card for both, and it only costs $68.50 a month for unlimited transportation.

I walk. Due to my vision issues, I'd probably be limited to daytime driving only, and I work evenings, so... that wouldn't be very useful.

Besides which, I don't trust myself not to run into things or these morons on the road not to hit me.

I am 21 years old. And I do not own a vehicle or a drivers license.

Whenever I want to go to the store. I either hitch a ride or ride my bike to the store. Either way works out.

It's not like I am lazy. I had a sister who was spoiled rotten with the graciousness of God to have a several cars, and a driver's license at 17. I myself had to ask friends to teach me how to drive. And yet I do not feel confident.

Thankfully, I have a boss that picked me up for work.

As for going to town, I usually ask my buddies if they are going to town and hitch a ride with them.

I'm pathetic. BUT I AM NOT LAZY. I WANT A SMALL TRUCK.

I was about that age when I finally got mine. My dad gave me his old car.

These are the buses that we have down here. Terrible.
