Well, I'm just making it known that I strongly dislike those type of generalizations. If you claim to be straight, I think it goes without saying that you would prefer not to be imposed upon with gay advances. This is fair, but at the same time everyone has to point that out as if every gay person is going to do that.
However...
I've just been hit on by a few of them before. Not to mention some of the gay guys I know ARE like that.
This is fair enough; I just feel pretty offended that if I decide to tell a person I'm gay if they ask that they'll automatically assume from that point on that I secretly want to get in their pants. It's really, really old, and it happens way too much for my own personal comfort. I'm sure you didn't mean anything by it, but maybe it's a good reminder in the future that not every person who claims to be homosexual is a whore who doesn't respect personal boundaries.
Originally posted by DawnI've got something bothering me to see that too, Tweak. Seriously... Hertos... Shut the fuck up about the 'I'M STRAIGHT BUT HEY I'M COOL WITH GAYS!' Guys. Seriously. You don't have to have a guilt trip because you're straight. Christ. If anything it's condescending to the gays. It's what the a lot whites did to the blacks after civil rights was passed. It's just fucking retarded. Enough of it already.
Kind of funny you mention that, given that racism is still a fairly big problem in the USA.

It's not just toward gays that I think this either, anybody can be an annoying prick in the same fashion. I know this girl who blew one of the guys from Static X after a concert and I wanted to strangle her after she was a foot away from me and was bragging about it to me very loudly in the mall. Same goes with a few of my other straight buddies, they just don't know when to shut up and it seriously gets old fast.
For all people, whether gay or straight, where you put your genitals at the end of the day (or during the day) is nobody's business but your own.
One thing that I find funny, though. I know a severely homophobic couple that I used to live by... Funny thing was, they liked to brag about their sex lives. The husband loved anal and the wife used a strapon. Tell me that isn't irony at it's finest!
Friend of mine from high school is gay. Everyone knew it but he was worried to say anything about the matter. I respected the fact that he didn't want to tell anyone and he finally did when he moved out of the state. Now he's a drag queen. How can he walk in those heels is beyond me.
IMO, it's all about your upbringing and the area that you live in.
I really didn't have a point, I just wanted to share.

Is the person transsexual, or just dresses as female part time and intends to remain male?
I do have a friend who was female and went through the procedures to become male. I've known her for a very long time and I still think of her as a she. She goes by Mel (Melinda was here name before changing it to Melvin), so it's easy to still call her Mel. She doesn't live in this state anymore either. Moved up to GA with her husband and she has a child.
If your friend in Georgia became male, you really should try to refer to him as he It's good to respect someone's new gender rather than use the old one they tried to get away from.
I'll echo what Xk said since I brought up that example to him a few days ago. :\
I've met gay males who exhibit those tendencies and I've met some who don't call attention to it at all. I mean, if that's actually how you talk and act, then fine. I'm not one to judge. But when you flaunt it, call attention to it and play up the stereotype that you see on TV/in the movies/etc... it's not cool if that's really not who you are. If that is who you are, then fine. No problems there.
And I think the reason we have to say we have no problems with people being gay is because too many people DO have problems. :\ Society's becoming more accepting but it's not an overnight process.
I know a couple of bi-sexuals and I used to identify as such myself (less so now as I know I could never date a female. Or...really anyone)... though in my case I think it was just a "phase", perhaps. Not that I think homosexuality is a phase. That'd be...really ignorant.

Oh, my god. I remember there was a girl back in high school who bragged about her sexual adventures. In fact the very first time I met her one of the first things she had said to me was that she "loved cock". Honestly straight people are just as obnoxious about flaunting sexuality if not worse about it because they see it as some sort of accomplishment more than a pride thing (though I don't doubt there are people proud of their promiscuity, either...)
I've grown tired of my constantly-fluctuating hormone levels.
I could technically be any orientation at any given time throughout the week--And it's all led me to become highly insecure around people whom could possibly be attracted to me.

What part of GA does she live? If it's anywhere near columbus, either I know her, or she sure as hell knows me.
