First one that I can remember playing is SMB1. I might have played games before that, but that's the first game that I remember actually playing.

I remember watching my parents play SMB1 on their then-new NES. I tried to play, but I just pushed buttons at random, even Select and Start

I think the very first one was a C64 letter-matching game. Like there's a Ferris wheel or something with letters and 1 letter on the ground, let's say it's H. So when the H on the Ferris wheel rotates into position you have to press a key. Naturally, I was really young.

The earliest game I remember playing probably has to be the original Super Mario Bros. I would consistently try and move forward in the level and jump over the first Goomba to land right in front of it and die. :specialed:

Rad Racer. Many fond memories of playing that game ... used to just call it "the car game." I didn't have an NES of my own but my grandparents did, so I would always get excited when we'd go there so I could play the car game. I was better at it when I was three years old than I am now (I can't get to stage 7 now like I used to be able to >.<)

That would have to be StarTropics. I still remember watching my parents play it when I was a kid and then finally getting a chance to try it for myself. I was only two years old when that happened .

I actually remember trying and failing spectacularly to beat the second level of Aladdin on SNES. I was certain I had to climb up the wall like Abu was doing.
