I just dumped my chicky bank (long story) so I can get all the wheat pennies out of the pile and into my collection of old pennies when I just thought about a topic idea. What do you guys collect?
I actually passively collect coins, Redwall books (mainly for reading, though ^^), and I guess game systems and old computers.
I'm actually into collecting state quarters, and most of my collection is complete. It was hard getting that one New Jersey coin, and I was quite surprised with the "bonus" DC coins. Now I'm starting into dollar coins, thanks to getting four Polks Ds the other day (spent three of them).
So what do you guys collect?

I'm not super into it but I like to collect foreign currencies. Other than that, the only thing that is collected is the copious amounts of dust on the television!

Liquor bottles.
Silly hobby, I know. Being a drunkie and everything.
I currently have 2X VOX, with one "Neverland special" VOX right in the dead middle. A bottle of Abstenth that looks like a bong. Two gallons of GoldenGrain everclear. And 5 Goldschlaughers(sp?)
My friend "Buddy" has a much better collection than I do. Jesuschrist. Here is his collection.

Oh yes, I forgot foreign money as well. I haven't collected much, but since Europe has essentially standardized into the euro, some of the coins I have are keepsakes now.
Also, I have two wheat pennies noteworthy. One is from 1923, and the other is from the 1940's, but has the initials T.N. hammered and inked on there. Not sure what that means (if it means anything), but it's odd enough for me to treasure it.

 | I collect retro video games and consoles. It's a fun thing to collect and I really enjoy going to thrift shops and retro video game swap meets to look for new things.
It's my dream to someday own a copy of every NES game although we'll see if that ever happens  .

I won this plastic chick contain full of mini M&Ms back in 2nd grade, and I have kept it all this time. It actually works very well as a bank.

I have a collection of euro coins from my stay in Germany and trip to France. I might be going to Greece next year for more 
I used to collect more coins, but I've put most of them into my savings account.

      Old video game stuff, almost entirely NES/Famicom-related. I don't intend to collect every NES game, though, but rather all the really good ones. Why spend some exorbitant amount on an awful Fisher-Price game when I could spend the same money on, say, Akumajou Densetsu (Castlevania III) and actually enjoy my purchase?
I also have a collection of old computer hardware, but that one was mostly unintentional and kinda built itself.

| |  I collect coins and other rares of that sort. I also collect rocks and fossils, some of which could be worth something, and I collect shells whenever I go to the beach. I collect animal statues as well.
I have several things that I don't collect anymore, like dead insect related things and bird nests (I still keep a few every now and then).
Basically I'm what some people refer to as a pack rat. I collect a ton of stuff and won't get rid of it.

Cool I remember walking along Lake Ontario as a kid picking up pretty rocks. I wonder what happened to them.
My parents went around a campground years ago with a metal detector. I think they found around 50 cents.

Of course the better games come first. When I go to a retro game store or swap meet I usually search for things like the Megaman titles that I don't have or other games that I would enjoy first. Most of the common games that I have were found at places like thrift stores or garage sales where I could grab them really cheap .

I used to collect comic books, but not so much now. I still have my collection. As well as baseball cards and Pogs. OMG I can't believe I collected those things.
I also have some old coins that I keep if I come cross any.
But my big thing is video game systems and games, both new a retro.

I used to collect Yu-Gi-Oh cards when I was younger; I had a ton of rare cards that I eventually sold off for about $20 a piece. Good times.
These days I don't really collect anything, mainly due to a combination of little cash flow and no real desire to. I have very few video games and I only have a choice few possessions I actually care about. I guess that was just part of growing up for me.

I have a big collection of old comic books... somewhere. Kiddie comic books, but I'm sure I have a bunch of issues of Thundercats lying around.
I also have a pin board. With lots of pins on it. In the corner I have a Hammer Brother, Mario (in death animation) and a Piranha Plant. Mario's right above the Piranha.

I collect insects...when I was younger I used to have many who I'd catch and then eventually let go. I've caught two kabutomushi beetles who've become pets of mine (one came from the larva stage in a controlled but natural environment so I could come back later and catch them), and I used to own several silk worms...I also like caterpillars and similar creepy crawlies, but they can be sort of difficult to sustain unless you have the right kind of environment (and even then...)

I used to collect a lot more. For a while, when my parents drank beer I'd keep the bottle caps in a basket outside on the deck. I think that collected rusted to death. I tried to collect old computer equipment, but that's hard when you're 10 or so, using your parents' money, and don't live near any fleamarkets or thrift stores.
I am a packrat but lately I've been trying to get rid of stuff.
