I'm the same way as you when it comes to scents at times. One of the worse smells I have ever experienced was rotten watermelon.

Oh yes, definitely.

I can also usually feel the energy before a thunderstorm, too.

I think the weirdest thing though, I can smell "hot" and "cold". Like, winter has a different smell than summer does.

Edit: Apparently I'm not the only one. Curses go to me for not reading the whole thread first.

Nope, I happen to have a very undeveloped sense of smell, therefore I have a hard time smelling things at all.

But I can feel that rain is approaching from up to 15 minutes away, before any apparent signs show. So yeah I guess I can "feel" the rain at least.

Some of the time, I'll feel the pressure dropping right before a storm. This is usually followed by a nasty headache.

Yes! And it can only be smelled about 5 days a year cuz IT NEVER RAINS where I live so I enjoy it when it arrives.

By that definition it would rain everywhere I went.

Well, I guess you can somewhat feel it. There are tons of hint for the weather (i.e atmospheric pressure, humidity, looking at the clouds), so I guess?

Oh, snow can smell when it's melting and all dirty and muddy and full of garbage.

Winter just freezes your nose, so good luck smelling anything.

Very rarely. I suppose it's something that comes from living in warmer and more humid areas. I have lived in Norway all my life.. so I've only been able to do it on rare occasions during summer.

Where I am now, not a chance. I'm in the arctic, in the second closest settlement to the north pole (Longyearbyen, Svalbard). This place is cold and dry. But it's totally fantastic here. And really special. It really is an arctic desert. Cold, no trees, mostly just rocks and stone (you could pretend you're on Mars..)... until the snow and darkness comes.

Case in point: Some REALLY dark clouds were rolling by today but there was no moisture smell... as such, it didn't rain.

(East part of Montreal got a shower, though. Go figure.)

Sure can. It's a good warning sign for me to close the windows on a day where rain is about to strike.
Not just because I obviously wouldn't want the house to get drenched, but I'm also not a big fan of the rain, either.

...But, I'll admit, the sound of rain on the windows is rather soothing during the transition from being awake to asleep in bed. Or anytime for that matter (but mostly the former).
