Just ordered an EVGA GeForce 9800GT 1GB for $134.99 from Newegg. Just thought I'd let you all know, not that anybody really gives a rat's ass. I just have to wait for it to arrive, then I'll do the routine "fps in Crysis lol" update.

I think it's a good idea posting this, because people might want to know if this graphic card is really worth it.

As far as I've read with reviews and whatnot, it is.

The computer I'm getting will have this graphic card installed, Nvidia® GTS 240, 1024MB. I wonder if I should get a better one or keep this one?

I thought that Nvidia was canning the GTS 240? In any case, if you do get one of those, it's pretty much a rebranded 9800GT.

I'd be interested to know how it performs in comparison to an overclocked 9500GT, 1GB, which is what I've got. Probably better, yeah, but how much better.

The most expensive graphic card I was able to pick for my pc, is a ATI Radeon HD4870X2, 2048MB. The bad thing is it would run me 600$ extra for my pc.

I have that same card, nvidia geforce 9800 gt, but in 512mb. I got it a few months ago. Pretty nice card. I don't have any specific numbers, though, sorry.

512MB GeForce 8400GS here.

Groundbreaking it isn't, but it works.

I'm overly impatient as it is! I hate when the highlight of the day is "wait for something that might come in the mail". It's even worse when you're thinking to yourself, "Okay, it's 2-5 day shipping and I'm on the 5th day. It has to come today!" when the shipping is backed up or it gets lost in the mail. That's happened to me twice when I ordered from LEGO, the first Bionicle that came out was ordered by just about everybody and they didn't have enough to go around so I had to wait a month and a half for the damn thing!

I have a nVidia Geforce 8500GT; 512MB. It's old-ish (got this computer in December 2007) but it's not really that much of an issue. It plays everything I've given it fine (pretty much mostly Sims 3, Portal and Wii/GC emulation) so I don't have a problem with it.

Although I've never really paid that much attention to graphics cards so maybe it's not THAT good.. I'm not sure, but it fits all my needs pretty well so I'm fine. I remember emulating the N64 on integrated Intel graphics with my old computer.

What wii/gc emulator do you use "dolphin"?

I assume dolphin, since it's the only mature, if not THE only Wii emulator.

I remember playing ultrahle on my K6-2 500Mhz computer with a 32MB PCI TNT2 Model64. Good lord was it bad. It was aaaaaaalmost full speed but not quite. Problem was it corrupted textures and crashed a lot.

Guess that answers my question then. My card will play it on medium-high at about the same framerate.
