And here it is! The improved Neon Mothership.


Neon Mothership Remix
Fixed up and toughened up. It actually has less parts than the first thanks to the discovery of the Change Hitcheck event. It not only has improved firepower, but has a trick up its sleeve. I called it Remix instead of v2 since it is named after a song.


Rather busy, so I don't think I'll be doing much Fraxy stuff right now. However, if anyone knows how to make custom HUD Interfaces with the newest Fraxy version, please contact me. I need help with making the custom Star Fox 64 HUD.

Nice boss. I hope you don't mind if someday I try to make a more complex and more accurate Meteo Crusher.



Also, now I seem to be having some kind of strange problem... all my Fraxy games are running at 39 FPS! To my knowledge, it only seems to have started just now, but it's affecting all versions. Anyone know how to fix this? It's weird to play the game at 130% speed.

Edit: Made a new boss after experimenting with the new attachment types. I might make another one that uses Alone type.


Shot Worm
This bizarre ship drifts delicately through space, trailing its body segments in graceful twirls. The core might be out in the open, but you'll have to rough it up a bit before you can take it down.

Since mine was an attempt at a top-down view, I can see why it wasn't as good as some of my previous creations.

Top-down views of bosses you only see from the front aren't always as accurate as you imagine. Wait until I make Attack Carrier v3 and you'll see what I mean.

Mon changed Fraxy quite a bit, it uses DirectX now, and the sound engine was changed too. I don't think there's a way to cap the FPS at present (other than trying to lag it I guess?).

That would explain why cetain noises don't play and it always fails to load any song but the default. I hope things get fixed. It's weird playing silent, speedy Fraxy. It's like an old-fashioned movie or something.

There's a way to change which sound engine it uses in config.exe, there are 3 options ("Directsound", "MCI", "Directsound|MCI" (which I guess uses both? I'm not really sure on that one)). I use the "Directsound" option and it works fine for me, maybe you are using a different one? He said something on his site about one of the options not working, I think (google-translate isn't the most reliable source sometimes).

Well, I upgraded to the latest beta and that fixed it, more or leass. However, now setting the default music to blank causes it to start with silence instead of a random song like before.

Sorry Peardian, I don't really know how the interface's .fgi files work, but I know someone has already made one (here), and also the default interface (default.fgi) is heavily commented, you could probably look over the info in the default.fgi that comes with Fraxy and learn what to do from there (although since it's machine-translated I guess it could be a bit hard to understand, I haven't actually looked through more than the first few lines myself).

There doesn't appear to be anything too interesting (from what I saw), save for the option to finally not show the hidden weapons/cores/whatever in the editor (invisi).

Bump, with news and ships! For starters, they released a patch yesterday (or today) to fix several bugs, including the one in the editor where right clicking and selecting Copy caused a fatal error.


And now, two more ships!



Galaxy Rocker
A straightforward boss inspired by the Team Galactic Battle music from Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. Nothing special, just something with weapons to shoot at. I wanted it to have more missiles, but oh well.


Attack Carrier 64
Here it is at last! A near exact recreation of the Attack Carrier from Star Fox 64. You'll notice it's significantly larger than my first attempts, and also makes use of the health bar. Using the 3D model I ripped, I made sure the ship is the exact same scale to the player as it is in the game. Enjoy!

Okay, here's my reviews on those two ships.
Galaxy Rocker: Interesting design. Loved it!
Attack Carrier 64: Beats my Meteo Crusher by a lot. This was very well done!

Also, I'm working on another boss that will take me some time.

Yep, it's the Triforce. It's still in its early stages, and I hope I have the motivation to get this done.
I felt like doing this, since nobody else has apparently done it, as far as my knowledge goes.

Though the vids in the links shown don't have any from that stage, there have been recreations of bosses from RSG.
Acala (based off of Xiga), as well as True Acala (based off of The Stone-Like). (Battle starts at 3 minutes in.)
Both are made by Eboshidori, arguably the best Fraxy creator to date.

Wow, that's one heck of a boss. I'm sure it's entirely possible to do it (I found myself figuring out how to work things through scripts and whatnot while watching the video), it's just a matter of someone doing it.

@Triforce thingy: Looking good so far. I have a design for a ship in mind that kinda uses a Triforce-like design, but it will be a while before I get to it.
