But i never downloaded it... Hmmm

PS - im a fan of messiaen

EDIT - I actualy broke extended rom by using TT Flatworld battle field and Messiaen Batle Field (LOL)

I screwed up my rom because I accidentally patched it with the wrong patch. Did you accidentally do the same thing? That's why you should make a copy; I learned that the hard way lol.

I don't think the 100 coin star is something you can add, it's just part of the level info. There's probably something you can change in the ROM to make it work, but I don't know what. Or I could be completely wrong.

You can add it, but you'd have to change the checksum. If you go to the location 0xE8D98 you will find a list of bytes. To better explain it look in this forum. Stuff inside the checksum! The bytes point to specific behaviors of the level. One of those is the 100 coin star which is only availiable in the levels that have act selecters. For instance if you set Peaches Slide which is 13 to 09 It will have the act selecters from Bob-omb Battlefield, and that would be the name of the stars. But this also makes the 100 coin star availiable. xD, except it is the same as the one in Bob-omb. So basically the same thing area that sets the selecters and all has the info for the 100 coin star. I don't think this will be able to help him much though because why would he want to get rid of bob-ombs 100 coin.

Hello, i just downloaded toads tool and the ROM along with it. After opening toads tool and attempting to open the rom it says 'not a valid rom. please open a rom that has been extended with the latest version of the mario 64 rom extender'.
Ive already downloaded the latest rom, where have I gone wrong.

Apologies if I appear a bit dense if its an obvious question.

What version of the Mario rom do you have? Make sure you have the NTSC version of the rom.

I had the same problem before, just google Super Mario 64 NTSC rom. Then extend that version of the rom and open it with toad's tool 64, and that should work.

Is it possible (with the correct hacking skills) to make the lava rise or fall like the switches in Wet - Dry World?
