Oh I love trigun. Takes me back to 2000 when I watched it. Also own the entire manga series.
Yasuhiro Nightow is making a movie from a completely original story.
So there's a trailer for a movie that debuted at anime expo 2009.
The engrish is "epic". |

I'm really excited for this one! Trigun takes me back to the days when anime was actually good.

Maybe, or maybe it's just that anime/manga, like other forms of media, finds certain themes, characters, etc. to be popular given the era.
Even though I feel the same way, Nelrith, I also feel that anime/manga has continued to expand so that individuality may flourish. However, at the same time, that can make it difficult for a title to pitch itself to a person who hasn't seen it. In other words, often times I feel there are so many titles coming out each season it's hard to know what to watch/read. |

Meh. I'd rather see the whole series remade, since the anime was garbage. No, seriously. It was. The manga was 10 times better, and if they re-released Trigun to follow the manga, it would be such an epic series, it would convince Jesus Christ himself to make his second coming just to watch it.

| | | | Then again, that statement is universal to most anime transitions from the manga.

| yes. most notably the manga from which guts' name and layout come from. The berserk manga is simple in-seinen! haha |

I have to agree with Guts, while I did enjoy the Anime, I loved the manga a lot more. The anime box set was well worth the purchase for me in my high school days, but the movie at least is that little bit extra fans have been wanting for awhile now. The Manga is just crazy. If you have not read it. Stop reading this and buy the damn manga. It's awesome.
Hell I heard some crazy stories about a live action Trigun movie (And in the meantime, a DBZ movie, but look how that turned out.), and hell, the word 'Trigun' has me sold.
I'll still watch it. It was my teenage anime. I have to see it.

I agree as well, compared to the manga the anime doesn't hold up at all, but compared to other animes Trigun is still on top of my list.

| The only thing that I didn't like about the trigun manga(esp. maximum) are that some of the fights get wayyy too chaotic and there was such furious black and white on the pages that it was difficult to tell what was going on. |
