This has been mentioned a couple of times in the PS3 thread... [NSFW]

Needless to say, the original is supposedly getting localized in the EU...whether or not it makes it stateside or not is kinda irrelevant, since PS3 is region-free, you could import the game if it doesn't come out stateside from the EU and still play an English copy. The sequel, this game, is the one that's not yet quite known if it will make it or not. Kinda confusing.

Depends if you're big on these type of games or not. [NSFW]

From one of the people responsible for localizing it in the UK:

Hi everyone,

As an employee of Ghostlight I thought I could help anyone with details on Agarest's PAL release later this year.

The game is being localised into English only and will contain the original Japanese audio. Unfortunately we simply can't fit audio in other languages on to the disc as it already weighs in at over 15GB (!), most of which is the Japanese audio.

It's been a colossal localisation job. The Japanese game features well over a million characters of text!

Hopefully people will be happy with the results. This has been by far the most challenging Japanese>English job we've ever done and I thought "Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call" on PS2 was tough!

I'd laugh if it ended up being a 15GB download via PSN. Talk about eating up a good chunk of HD space...

If the game has that much text, I can excuse them if they make a couple of typos here and there.
