Actually, the original file was named smw_welcome.m64, so the problem was just a typo, which caused the program to interpret the arguments in a wrong way.
As far as I can remember, there is a small bug in the order which mml2m64 checks the argument, so sometimes the error message won't describe the problem correctly, but it WILL work if everything is typed in correctly. |

So i just downloaded project 64, an extended ROM, and Toad's Tools. When i open Toad's Tools i get a "Bad File Name" window. After pressing "OK" another window pops up with "String expected Script Error. Continue?"
I pressed "Yes" and pushed "Open ROM" at the top. After selecting the extended ROM (yes it is extended) another window pops up this time with "Object Expected Script Error. Continue?"
Pressing Yes here brings another message "No ROM file opened. Please open a ROM that has been extended with the latest version of the Mario 64 ROM extender (currently 1.2b)"
Any help here would be awesome, I really just want to play around with the editor. |

I believe he is talking about the second part of the error. Which if it does have to do with Messian's flatworld patch, then you probably have to fix the pointers located at 0x002AC098. If you scroll down from that location you should come across the bytes [01 20 00 00 01 20 1b c0] If this is the problem then simply replace what he had for the last two bytes with [1b c0]. You will have to do this also for the whomps fortress too. scroll down farther until you see the bytes [01 30 00 00]. Just simply do the same thing you did with the flat world [01 20 00 00].

| I have a question about texture packs. I have been trying to put in RiSio's Retro 64 texture pack, but every time I play mario 64 the game crashes, I have Rice's video plug-in 6.1, I mean Im in the middle of playing SM64, enjoying the yextures, then the game crashes. Has this happend to anyone yet, with texture packs? |

What emulator are you using? I use project64 1.6 and it works fine with texture packs. |

I'am using project 64 v1.6 but it still crashes? Can someone tell me the steps to inserting a texture pack, or where I can read about inserting a texture pack for SM64?

Alright, do you have file called BMGlib in your project64 folder? If you don't that might be the reason why it's crashing while running texture packs. |

These are the steps to use a texture packs.
#1 Open up poject64 1.6, click on plugin, now make a folder and name it "hires_texture".
#2 Inside your "hires_texture" folder you should have 3 things, RiceVideo6.1.3.2.dll, RiceVideo6.1.3.2DX9.dll and a folder named "Super mario 64".
#3 Now outside your "hires_texture" folder but still inside your plugin folder, make sure you have these rice files in this folder RiceVideo6.1.0, RiceVideo.dll and RiceVideoDbg.dll.
Now start up pj64 and make sure you have rice video plugin selected. |

Did you move toad's tool out of it's original folder, and what version of the rom extender did you use? |

It's still in the orignal folder and I used: M64ROMExtender1.3b to extend the rom. |

Normally I don't ask questions on here. Anyways. I am needing to add a billboarding effect to the Metal Cap, but I don't know where it is located. I was wondering if anyone here knows where the behavior script for the metal cap is? It's not listed in TT64. At least not where I can find it.

That's your problem, you need to use version 1.2 of the rom extender. I think version 1.3 is intended for mac's only. |

No, it's for both Macs and Windows. If it was only for Macs, why would there be a Windows version on the download page?
Are you still getting the same error you originally had with Toad's Tool? |
