The best way to deal with a politcal discussion is to forget who the person you're talking to is so that you can talk to their ideas rather than the person behind them.

It also means you stop taking things personally and can continue to talk to the person you are debating with as if nothing was going on.

It's 4:00 AM, I'm the only one awake and I suddenly remember where my lost blue DS could be, so I get a flashlight and actually find it in an old coat. I then decide on doing something in my brother's game, so I look for his red DS and games.

I bet strangers might think I'm a burglar... especially because I felt like flashing the light outside for fun.
