not exactly. you are given 40 hours of playtime per month, and if you hit that limit, you can pay a dollar to continue to listen for the rest of the month. you can also buy an annual subscription ($3/month), which removes the limit, disables all ads, and provides a few extra goodies. still cheap and completely worth it.
pandora is one of the best things to happen to the internet.

Tell me about it. I just plugged in a few song to start it off and so far it's been very hit and little miss.

I generally thumb up songs I like, down things I don't, and ... if it's just there, I just listen though.

yeah

This is one of those things that would honestly blow shit like XM/Sirius out of the water... Just add on some GPS tracking (for weather alerts or other location-aware information like the occasional weather report), add a few non-Pandora channels or more specific choices, and call it awesome.

I'd be all about Pandora if it played more genres of music I like. Hell, half the artists and bands I love aren't even in their database. :\

On the other hand, since when have you really talked about anything remotely close to popular?

Most of the stuff I see you post about are fairly esoteric. Not that they're all bad or anything, most if not all of it I've heard even once before.

Heh, precisely. Everything I love is virtually unheard of outside of Germany/England/Italy, and that depresses me, since it's really amazing stuff that most Americans (and non-Americans, for that matter) might like too, if they gave it a chance (and if my IRL friends are any indication, most of them won't. )

I'd believe it...mostly since most American music's gone downhill and anything around the EU, right now, has sunk to shit yet.

Now Playing: [Cardopusher - Show Me Your Pussy Massive]

I cannot stress how awesome Cardopusher is. Raggae mixed in with breakcore influences mixed in with straight song samples. It is just a unique sounding sound and highly catchy. I love Unity Means Power.

Party time is any time
and any time is party time

There is also Travestieten Transsexuelen Over The Rainbow Braak which is very catchy from the same album.

Death in June - Hollows of Devotion

This piece moves me in ways that nothing else can. Douglas Pierce and his band can do no wrong.

A dear friend of mine gave me an album from OceanLab to listen to with him. Lot of pretty/soothing music.

Here's a sample. Beautiful piano and a very soothing singing voice in this one.

Group called All Time Low. Just found them on Zune. Not bad. It's punk-rock type music.

Now Playing: [The Qemists - Lost Weekend feat. Mike Patton]

The Qemists are fucking badass at dnb. If you like Pendulum I REALLY suggest looking for The Qemists because they are wonderful in a similar style. This song is incredibly catchy and has Mike Patton. Definitely one of my favorites from Join The Q and I haven't even listened to it all yet.

Death In June - Come Before Christ and Murder Love
Fucking fantastic, and the lyrics are so relevant to my thought processes:
"To find your god is hollow
Brings death to all reason"

So very true.
