I really, really want to see this movie. Surprised that I didn't go at midnight, so that means I have to at least wait until Friday night to see it. That is, if I'm back home in time. If not, then Saturday it is.

Anyone else here who wants to see it?

I'm looking forward to it, but I'm probably going to wait a week or so to see it when the theaters are less crowded.

I'm wondering if the premiere will have a spoiler crash like the book release.

I'll be going to see it, but I'll probably wait until it comes to the local theatre.

Shiny new layout!
----------------------------------------------------

Okay, so saw the midnight premere last night. My brief synopsis? It's good.

My somewhat longer synopsis... well...

For not have read the book more than once or twice, this is the first movie that I'm not comparing to the book. For those die-hard fans I cant really say how true it stayed to the book. Most of the key scenes it did manage to hit on.

Nevertheless, one of the better filmed and directed movies to date. Would recommend it.

I'm probably going to see it tonight. If not, then definitely within this week. Can't wait! It looks like its going to be my favorite Harry Potter Film, (besides the last two,) which is weird considering that the sixth book is my least favorite. Would have went to the midnight showing, but I had to get up early today. That, and I'm rarely up until 2am anymore.

Edit: Just saw it. I like it. I feel that this movie really captures everything important about the book. It tells the story differently though, but that's to be expected in a film. Some purists might rage, but I think they finally did a great job of conveying the entire story to an audience that has never read the books. This is the first film since Sorceror's Stone that I feel I can recommend to someone who has never read the books, and be confident that they won't be totally lost during it.

My only complaint is that the pacing feels a little slow. That might have just been me though. I was tired while watching this. All I know is that it felt like it was taking forever, but I was happy it was because that meant I could savor it longer.

If you're thinking about seeing this film, but aren't really a Harry Potter fan, go see it. As long as you have BASIC knowedge of the series, (know who Voldemort is etc,) you won't be lost.

I saw it yesterday, and since I'd totally forgotten what happened in the book, was entertained by it.

So yea, saw it and it was okay. I was expecting more, but it was still worth the watch.

Yeah, I was kind of expecting more action. I don't know why though since the book isn't exactly an action thrill ride. The book is all hormones, Voldemort history, and book 7 preparation, which is essentially what you get on screen only more interesting, so I really can't complain.

Actually, I think after Star Trek all movies are going to seem boring to me for a while.

I absolutely hated the previous one, but this movie was good.

Except for the first few seconds, which disoriented and blinded me. Guh?!

Sorry about that, when I typed this at work it didn't show, but now that I'm home, it's showing.

I swore off the Harry Potter movies after the third one, but I may have to make an exception.

Then I will end up rereading the darn things. :p

Okay, did anyone NOT see it coming?! I read the book and knew all about it but everone in the theater was like... whoa...
And when the Inferi pop up, some lady TOTALLY screamed!! It was the best! I think that scared me more than the actual things!

I saw it coming, but only because I heard about it, not because I had read it. It wasn't as emotional and OMG to me when it happened though. The theater was silent though.

Yeah, my mom was crying... I just don't cry at movies
For some reason, that night, the theater was really loud. We did a slow-clap for some of the kisses
