Maybe it's because I'm on a Mac (well you know, there's this CR/Linefeed difference between the Mac OS and Windows) but when I use the html "pre" tag, I get extra linefeeds.

Example:

This text:

This project aims at designing and constructing an innovative 3D Image Display Device
that could become an alternative to how televisions, computers and any other kind of Visual
Data is displayed: through the usage of Engineering and ICT, we expect to construct a machine
that can display 3-Dimensional objects inside a sealed, transparent container unit.

Becomes this:

This project aims at designing and constructing an innovative 3D Image Display Device

that could become an alternative to how televisions, computers and any other kind of Visual
Data is displayed: through the usage of Engineering and ICT, we expect to construct a machine
that can display 3-Dimensional objects inside a sealed, transparent container unit.

Nope. It is the board's fault.
The board changes line breaks into a line break and a <br>.
But then <pre> reserves whitespace. Thus, two line breaks per each.

You can do something like <style type="text/css">.lolpre br { display: none; }</style><pre class="lolpre">content here</pre> To make the <br>s disappear, and, but reserving the whitespace for <pre>.

Rather old bug.

Also, hey, VL-Tone. Long time no see (this is stag019).

File Edit View Settings ?
<style> pre {line-height: 50%; } </style> also works.

I explained this in PM already, but for the sake of anyone else reading this thread:

Post header:
<style type="text/css">.lolpost pre br { display: none; }</style><div class="lolpost">

Footer:
</div>

And there you go. Just be sure to change "lolpost" to something unique (toss your username or ID in there) to ensure it doesn't conflict with someone else's layout.
