Ohhhh I give grammar hell on a regular basis to people. Already got on my mother's case on an e-mail this morning quoting Friends on the 'your-you're' case.

Used to bug the shit out of my friend when he kept playing FF7 and referring to 'Meteor' as 'Me-uh-tor'. It was the funniest thing...and he CONTINUED to do it because he swore it was the best way to say it.

I still harass him like this to this day and I guess the trend stuck so much that it infected other people.

Hey Hiryuu, stop using "o" in IRC, it should be "Oh."

But yeah, 2 of my friends say "ocarina" wrong, and one of those two says "turret" wrong.

It's funny.

I don't actually correct people but it does annoy me.

I'm stuck in spelling and grammar hell at work. People can't type properly when making their account notes, for Christ's sake.

And it's Bangkok, Thailand... not Bangcock.

Hehe.

*ahem*

A lot of people at work can't spell the simple things. But this is mainly due to English not being their first language.

Plenty of people at work have major issues with the English language when it comes to writing it out. Every one of them has English as first language (in fact, I don't really know anyone that HAS a second language here...fluent or otherwise).

Just some of the grammar and spelling errors that I point out to my boss when it actually MATTER in a profession is terrible. But he isn't the only one around here that has a problem with that.

But then again, they weren't hired for their English skills either.

I think it's bad for me to have a mother that was also big on English and is now a law/legal secretary (and has been for 20 years...hell most of the typing/English knowledge I got from her anyways).

I do tend to hit the EDIT button a lot but hey...at least I mostly catch my shit.

I know someone who can't say things properly and has English as a first language...
He called Certs "cerettes".

This one gets on my nerves a lot. Also, my Computer Engineering teacher always pronounced SATA (Say-ta) as STATA (stay-ta).
