So it seems that a lot of people are busy this summer. But with what?

For me, at the start of July it was with my nephews. Now at the end of July it will be with more family for a birthday party/BBQ/drinking/casino/whatever.

Not sure what the rest of the summer has in store, but it has been pretty intresting and fun so far. Minus the fact that I have to work.

after screwing around for most of my life I'm finally getting serious and going back to school. I just moved back in with my folks and I'm in the process of registering for classes, meeting up with counselors, and figuring out my future. I'm also working to get my driver's license, although driving a car is just about my biggest fear, so I don't know how successful I'll be there. overall, I'm pretty excited.

You sound mind-wiped when you say that.

Then again, I've been wanting to get back myself...just haven't done it. I've actually said I'm going to do it this year but the economy kicking my ass when I footing the bill solo isn't making things happen all the faster and to rely on grants and loans and so forth when I just got done paying my ones off that I had at the start of the year...isn't too appealing.

Especially when I'm in my field already regardless of the fact.

This summer I got my first Summer job. I work from 7AM - 3PM on Mondays to Fridays and sometimes Saturdays so that consumes a lot of my time. Luckily I'm only working for two more weeks and then I'm finished although one week after that I'm going on vacation for about 2 weeks .

I've also been working on my SMW hack again and when I do that I tend to be less active because I like to concentrate on it without any distractions.

I've been taking summer classes to try to get some extra elective credits, and working part-time in between. Overall they've been fine so far, just a bit faster than normal.

Web development (paid!) internship, 8:30AM - 5:00PM.

I consider myself fortunate to even have a job this summer, especially one that I (usually) enjoy. A lot of my friends weren't able to find any work this summer. Stupid economy...

Nothing yet, the weather's been crap. Too much rain/below-seasonal weather.

Thinking of taking a week of vacation near the end of August/beginning of September... we'll see exactly when.

No freakin' job. Two of my friends already have one. At best I can expect a call from the places I signed up at around August.
Just finished preliminary moving house. There's still a shitload of heavy lifting to be done, boxes to be unpacked, etc.

Shit sucks.

Well, I guess I should say that nothing's really changed for me.

I work 6:00AM - 4:30PM T-F. Nice to have three day weekends but I want my pay and hours back. Taking a sink to that kinda sucks with my current bills.
