Even though save files are now managed on the system instead of the game itself, they still have to consider multiple people using the same system. Maybe they don't expect more than one person per household to be interested in it or something?

Not exactly. There was a fake rom dump of DQ9 released which was actually taihen.nds, and it's apparently listed on some anti-virus databases.

The reason? It's disguised as a hentai slideshow, but it actually BRICKS your DS. In other words, you run that and you'll have to send your DS to Nintendo (unless you have FlashMe).
