Well, when you think about it, it's just about time.
Time you have to post vs. time you have when you talk.
In other words, I can say truly idiotic things when I'm drunk, but if I'm writing something, I can rethink it again and again until it's write (you generally don't have that freedom when talking, unless you like falling behind a conversation)
