If TT64 goes haywire and gives you a script error, crashes or behaves abnormally. This thread is where you should report bugs.
Be sure to:
• Tell what platform you're running (XP, Vista, Mac PPC, Mac intel).
• Include as much details as possible, like what you were doing, so that I can try to reproduce the bug.
Keep in mind that SM64 is a complex game, and that some model/behavior combination and other experimental modifications might cause the game to crash, without TT64 being at fault. |

But when does this happen? While the ROM is being opened? Just after you clicked on the splash screen? When the window first appears?
Also you say that this doesn't always happen, do you have any clue what's different when it happens?

It's right after the splash screen, it only would happen when the editor started out in the normal small window, and I maximized it just before the open rom thing would pop up.
Also when it doesn't do this, it just opens normally.

roger3245: now I understand It's not the worst possible bug, but I'll fix it, probably easily. Thanks for the report!

First, can you open a fresh, unedited Extended ROM without problems? If so, it means that only this particular edited ROM is causing this error?
Hmm... it means that somewhere along the way, the script data got corrupted, more than probably by TT64 itself. Obviously that's a very bad thing.
I would need to take a look at the ROM to see what happened. Could you please make a .PPF patch of this corrupted ROM and send it to me? (You can PM me if you want).
I would probably be able to fix it, and work on preventing this corruption bug from happening again in TT64.

Go to www.dogpile.com, type in .ppf patch creator program download, and look for it.
Sending the rom would be considered distributing the rom, and that would be illegal.

I was modding Whomp's Fortress the other day and changed the Big Fence object into a giant pole. I saved and tested the mod. After I realized that the big fence was only the graphics, I went back to change it, but the item had completely disappeared from the list.
I was modding on Windows XP.
Update: I tried it with another ROM and it didn't happen this time. It must have just been something I did wrong...
2nd Update: I guess I'm not the only one...

You might have overwrote the data instead of just switching around
