Farrah had a very long struggle with cancer. It is very sad, but I am glad she is finally at peace. Cancer is a horrible illness and I am pleased that she is no longer suffering.

My thoughts are with her family.

The worst thing about this one is that nobody's going to remember that Farrah Fawcett passed away today for obvious reasons.

It's reminiscent of Ayrton Senna's death during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. Earlier that weekend, driver Roland Ratzenberger was killed in a crash in qualifying. That was all overshadowed once Senna, one of the great drivers of all time, was killed.

Everyone went to Senna's funeral. The only major person who went to Ratzenberger's funeral was FIA president Max Mosley. Reason?

"'Roland had been forgotten. So I went to his funeral because everyone went to Senna's. I thought it was important that somebody went to his."

Pretty similar situation here.
