Final Fantasy Firefox 3.

I have to admit Internet Explorer got a lot better since version 8. Finally you can "use" it, although in those past years it lacks the customizability we all got. Private browsing mode for people who share one computer, some new features are nice, I hope Microsoft keeps on. Still, you need IE for Windows Update, if you want to do it manually. I know, it's Microsoft, but it would be really nice if they allowed us to access their page with an alternative browser. But no matter, since it should be neede rarely anyway, thanks to auto-updates.

As for Firefox, it takes a long time to start, but those little helpers/add-ons called Brief, Greasemonkey, IE Tab, Rikaichan, Mouse Gestures or DownThemAll!.

My second favourite browser would be Opera, these widgets are actually quite nice, and Opera starts up literally instantly, while Firefox 3 needs about half and a minute on my ancient machine to fire up (I keep most applications open anyway and put the computer into hibernate mode, when switching off).

I still use Firefox 2 on my main computer (purely because of the image-resizing blur present in FF3), though it's been acting kind of odd lately. The longer I leave it running, the longer it takes to switch tabs, or open a new one. The length of time also depends on what site I'm trying to view. Opening anything on Kotaku takes a good 5-10 seconds to process, and this is on a dual-core 3.2GHz system!

I think it might be related to an add-on that was recently updated, though I can't seem to pinpoint which one...

SeaMonkey for me. Back in the day when Netscape sold their soul to the dev-... I mean, AOL... their partnership with Mozilla came to an end and Mozilla released a new browser--then simply called Mozilla--which was effectively the same as Netscape Navigator only, well, not Netscape. Even today it retains its infamous Back/Next/Reload/Stop button graphics.

When Mozilla introduced Firefox, it was "all the rage" and people flocked to it like GameCube enthusiasts to Super Smash Bros. Brawl on release day. I don't remember what scared me away from it... I think it was maybe the way that the search function by default just gives you this inconspicuous entry field on the bottom instead of the more familiar dialog box? Either way, I never really went with that browser and just stuck with vanilla Mozilla, which was then re-named SeaMonkey.

The two browsers are effectively equivalent with different user interfaces.

I used SeaMonkey until they stopped supporting it and it became hideously buggy.

Even more buggy than the alpha versions of FF3.

And it'd never get updated.

Otherwise, yeah, I once used it.

Opera. It's fast, it renders correctly as much as the next good browser, it has a built-in HTML editor for easy testing, it doesn't require absurd processing power for animated GIFs ( Firefox) and it has only ever failed on two websites. The first failure was Skyward, an online gradebook used mainly in Washington and Wisconsin school districts. In that case, it was the Javascript being stupid. The second failure was the Minoruism website, but the people who run it are jerks.

Firefox has a portable version. It's better than using the school's provided Internet Explorer 6, especially if I want to see transparent PNGs or CSS absolute positioning.

Internet Explorer only gets a mention because it technically qualifies as a web browser, even if it is slow and inaccurate. (Accuracy, at least, has improved noticeably recently.)

Firefox on this computer, mainly because I'm just so used to it but also because of Firebug and other useful extensions. It does get on my nerves every so often, though (too much memory consumption, have to close it every now and then or it lags on YouTube/etc, the image filtering)

Opera pretty much everywhere else (Laptop, etc) because, uh, because. Just wanted to try it out, and it works well I guess.

I've been using Opera for the past few days. It's fast and it renders rather well, but it's just...augh...lacking Firefox?

My numero 1 web browser is the Firefox, but I rarely use Google Chrome. It's a bit faster at several homepages, and it don't use so many RAM from my computer as Firefox. But I can declare it, the Mozilla's browser is much better than the others, mainly because the lots of useful add-ons and velocity.
