Nobody's ever done a foxgirl, to my knowledge. And Disgaea's awesome, so... yeah.

If they need a multi-purpose IM client and it's an older computer, MirandaIM might work decently. Otherwise, I suppose Trillian's fine.

Make sure to give them Opera or Firefox, as well - hell, even IE7/8 works.

I'm probably going to get another copy of Windows XP and use nLite to customize it to remove the really useless shit. Windows XP Black Edition just had too many things removed, unfortunately.

I really wish they would make it so XP just didn't install those components instead of removing them from the disc entirely...

Yeah I tried Black once myself. Didn't like it at all. Too much stuff I didn't need, and not enough that I did. Plus something weird with my video drivers as well, I think.

In all reality, I'm probably going to use something simple on the eyes (probably just a light gradient or other low-contrast image) for the background.

At least since it's XP I can have more than one user account and swap users without closing everything, I can just set their account to autologin and have my account there for whenever I show up. Yay.

Getting them up to speed would be easier if they weren't running a thousand long-lost programs like Hoyle Card Games 3. Seriously, that program was back in the days of Windows 98.
