So your old analog TV will explode in a fiery ball visible from space won't be able to get a signal over the air, normally.

Course, the environmentalist are concerned about this now too...

Wasn't this originally supposed to end in February? The only problem that I have with this is that my Turbo Express TV Tuner probably won't work anymore .

I'm gonna whip out my old uncle's analog portable TV and watch them channels vanish...

It's weird, but then again. That's me for you.

Of course, I could just hook it up to a digital receiver and it'd still work...

I'll watch channels die here coming home from graduation.

Ends just in time to watch one last thing on my portable TV, too. (Lakers game) Nice timing, I must say...

Canada switches on August 31, 2011.

Needless to say, the vast majority of stations here are analog-only right now. Lots of work to do.

As long as people understand that "digital broadcasts ≠ go out and buy a new TV" then we'll be fine.

Unfortunately, that's about as much a possibility as a cow jumping over the moon.

Hence why I'm glad I'm not working at RadioShack right now and having to deal with old-fogey customers...

And yet, apparently it's near-impossible to pick up the digital signals from a couple of our major stations here, even with a jumbo-sized antenna tower on your roof. One newspaper article said the signals are so weak, a passing truck could disrupt them.

Epic fail. It's a good thing I don't watch TV anymore, or I might actually be upset.

Same. It's so bad at my place, if you have your leg in the wrong damn position, it's like trying to watch satellite in a fucking hurricane. There's only a few shows worth watching, and for those there's always the internet. A passing truck won't block the signal from my neighbor's router!
