I guess it doesn't concern me because I keep the boxes of all of my "bigger" purchases. Computer parts, video game systems, televisions, monitors, etc. Got all the boxes stored away in case I ever need to send them in for whatever reason.

I don't know how people would accept something like that. I mean I buy a console not to have to deal with crap like that. :\

With that high a failure rate, I dunno how people still buy the console.

I actually didn't buy mine.

I did a few favors for some of my ex-co-workers who got the red ring...I would switch out the bad system for a good used system and defect out the red ring system out. Of course, if it happened again, they would have to ship it out.
