I only did that because you went "it'd probably go the way of Skype". Had you simply said "Not interested"? Fine.

I just felt the need to point out that, as far as my knowledge went, your only experience with Skype was a) being unable to do so because of dialup, and b) being cut off from Skype->Phone after they ended the free version.

Steam has a chat/voice feature. A lot of us are on Steam. Why not start small and chat over Steam first, then go from there?

Steam's voice chat seems to be really broken, at least for me (the various tests I did with it were mostly garbled or uncomprehensible). The main test I was using before this was just TF2 experience, in which most of us were pretty talkative about whatever came up.

I'd love it. I used it once a long ass time ago when I first joined. I don't remember who all I talked to, but someone was really loud. Was it Bouche? Hmm.

I have skype now, but it gives me trouble if I try to use video too, so I don't use it much. I have a phone for just audio, you know? But I'd use Ventrilo to talk to Jul people. I miss the old days with giant skype chats almost every night.
