Deppends on the healing.

If I can heal 25%, I'll do it around 50%

If I am healing 100%, I'll do at 10-20%.

Otherwise, whenever I can die from an attack.

Usually 25%.

Unless I'm playing a Swordman on RO. Then I go to 750ish HP... which is more like 10%.

The only game I've really played lately that has a HP bar is Left 4 Dead, and usually it takes me either red-life bar or a "fell down and am now running off of stamina" before I heal up. Or pop the pills. Whichever one I have at the time, health pack preferred.

With healing, I try to wait until I'm under 50%. But, when it comes to reloading? Yeah, I'll shoot a single bullet, kill something and then reload if I think I have a chance to do so.

Same case here, always reload when I feel safe to do so. When I used to play Timesplitters:FP, I reloaded every time I was done firing because it was so easy to cancel the reload action to start shooting again. (The exception to this is the non-clip weapons used, Plasma Rifle being the main offender to this.)

But as far as recovering health would go, that is highly dependent on game type, enemy difficulty, and item supply.
* When the enemies become tough enough to take me out in a few hits, I will usually recover right when I take a hit past the 70% threshold, because god only knows when that enemy can start swarming.
* If enemies are only average on hitting me, say, ten to twelve hits to kill, I can rest easier. Recovery only happens below 50%, and even then I won't always recover right then. I will recover before I go to 20% however.
* The feeling of being a god, aka takes many, many hits to be defeated. 10% is still a safety line at this point, so unless I feel like I'm going into a tough area there's no need to recover.
* My inventory is full of healing items! This can happen a lot with me when healing methods besides items are available in an RPG. So when I find an item and can't hold it because I have 99 Potions in stock, they get used until I have full health across the board. (Am I the only one that does this?)
