That's happened before and it really annoyed me although this time it was something different. I felt like messing around with the screen resolution inside of Team Fortress 2 just to see how they looked until eventually I picked a resolution that my monitor didn't support

. Because of this every time I launched Team Fortress 2 all I saw was a black screen although luckily I eventually figured out how to restore the original resolution

Should only pick resolutions you know would work for sure.
