Reggie Confirms that Retro Studios' new Wii game is not making an appearance at E3 this year.

Oh well, maybe next year. Some people are thinking Retro might be at work on the next Zelda or Kid Icarus. Not sure how I'd feel about that but since that's just random speculation I'm not worried.

I totally did not expect Super Mario Galaxy 2 with all its SMW influence and a new Metroid game.

Yeah and we still have two more days. I wonder if any other surprises will be shown. Remember, Brawl was not shown at the conference, instead it was shown on the floor.

Although it's opinionated, it's starting to sound like Sony's the prime candidate for owning this go round. They announced...

35 exclusives.

100 PS2 games.

164 PSP & PS3 games.

And it's sounding like the motion control for the PS3's a bit better than the Wii controller. Way fucking better than the XBOX 360 one at least.

Overall, though, it's way better on the whole for all three companies than last year's was.

Not to sound like a douchebag or anything. But when I saw the motion controls for Natal, I just about got angry with the damn thing. The part where the kid was trying to ride a skateboard on the game got me thinking: Why not, you know, just ride an actual skateboard? I mean to each their own, but I think Natal can be something bad more than it is something good. You know?

Now as for the Wii and PS3 motion controls, I am kinda iffy about it as well. The EyePet trailer makes me glad I own a pet. I don't want a virtual one. But again, to each their own I suppose. Sony is doing a good thing trying to catch a more casual audience. And so far it looks good on both of the systems (PSP/3)

I do like the motion controller for the PS3. And I am sure it can only improve. It's just this motion control to me is just killing gaming to me. I prolly will not get into it until I see something that is actually gaming. (I Guess I am hardcore?)

I agree completely on AC2, though I'm more interested in what other tools you can get, ala the smoke bomb. That looks interesting, hopefully we'll get a good amount of 'inventions'.
