Orange or Black?

Need info for a watch plate...

Father's Day is coming up...trying to put together ideas on what I'll do and I think I've got it panned out finally. The first will be to hide my idea with Woot.com's current shirt.

That will hide the watch.

Yea, my father's big on diving and has been constantly and consistently oogling my cheaper-end one every time I come by. I can't tell you how many times he's mentioned it in the month or two I've had this one. Wasn't really that high up of a purchase (Woot again) but he's still taken with it.

So, I figured I'd do the right thing and get him one (at a price fairly higher than mine). Question I ask is...which color faceplate.

We got Orange.

We got Black.

Figured Seiko...was going to get him a 007 or 009 series but this one fits the bill better for me for price. Seiko makes a watch. Seiko makes a very good watch...I don't really need to be sold otherwise.

Here's my take on either: Black shows off to the public far better. It'll look nicer than the orange. The Orange shows up and probably does a better job of doing so underwater than the Black one does.

Keep in mind he has a watch already but it's your run-of-the-mill one for about 15-20 bucks...probably not too well-built for diving. I'd like to get him one to fill the void.

Sooo...vote...gimme an idea.

At first glance I picked the black one. But after reading your points for both, I'm not sure. The orange one would be better for diving, but the black one just looks better overall.

Nobody's ever done a foxgirl, to my knowledge. And Disgaea's awesome, so... yeah.

If it's for diving, I say orange.

Besides, it's certainly different than the usual...

Go black anyway. Orange doesn't look quite right. Maybe if it were a deeper, more metallic orange with a radial gradient.
