Been excited for this movie since last year. I can't watch it opening night because my girlfriend has an appointment at the time. I'm going to try to catch a show the next day though.

It was....alright. A few inconsistencies here and there, but the movie was alright.

The movie theater that I went to had seven showings at midnight and it was packed for all of them.

Metacritic had it at 40 something, Rotten Tomatoes was like 23% earlier today...

I haven't heard good things from other people.

Visual effects look amazing though, but I guess they can only go so far.

The fight scene where Bumble Bee is in involved was awesome. I think the best in the movie. Maybe that was worth it, I dunno, but, meh.

The effects were SPECTACULAR, I loved the new characters that were introduced, and the plot was interesting... but it was kind of strange. Some of the storyline was sort of out there and made me question things. But overall, I liked it. The fight scenes were an orgasm for my eyes.

I'm a bit lazy so I'm just going to copy and paste what I wrote on my site.

"Transformers 2 expanded on everything the first movie had, even the bad ideas. This sequel felt long. There were a few pacing problems and editing cues that just felt out of place. The best fight happened mid way. The finale was a bit anti climactic and rushed. There were so many robots that eventually a few of the ones you want to be around are simply phased out quickly to make room for others. Like always, dialogue and plot are borderline passable.

I went to watch this with the realization that this was a Bay film and that I should not expect “Dark Knight” movie quality. I might have to watch Transformers 2 again to determine whether it is just as good as the first film or worse."

It doesn't look good at all. And what's this I hear about stupid ass racist transformers? WTF it has a gold tooth? Michael Bay can go die. Transformers is the shit and people should actually watch the cartoons. Those action scenes were hella more entertaining than anything he's come up with.

I went and saw it the other day.

Definitely not as good as the first, but still decent.

Visuals were stunning, story wasn't the greatest though. About what I expected.

The racist robots weren't as big of a deal as everyone was making them out to be.
