So, who's actually keeping up with them?

I'm hoping the Cavaliers come back from their 3-1 deficit... and that they end up facing the Nuggets. Last thing I need is to pick between two teams who both beat my favorites.

You echo my sentiments exactly.

My crazy optimism was that the Cavs would win a Game 5 in which Howard gets a technical foul, being ejected from Game 6. Then the Cavs would win Game 6 against a Superman-less Magic. And then LeBron simply willing the Cavs to a win at home for Game 7.

But alas, the league rescinded Dwight Howard's latest technical foul, so there go my pipe dreams.

Well, in the weird instance he still gets two technical fouls... then they're pretty much golden.

People at school are saying it's a sort of setup to try to get the Magic's guard down. I don't know how much of that to believe, especially after the last-moment desperation shot I saw.

Cavs play tonight, too.

All I have to say is f*ck the Lakers and f*ck Kobe.

And I've been quoted saying I'd go gay for LeBron (couple others too, like Tiger Woods, etc.)

Well, Cavs won. Fortunately, Howard got fouled out which pretty much killed the Magic's chance of a comeback.

Let's hope Game 6 goes the same way. Should be a fun night on Monday if they win that as well...

It was great to see the Cavs playing as a team (instead of LeBron vs the Magic), though they still need to work on not blowing 20+ point leads...

Yeah, I was kinda surprised by how that lead evaporated too. I didn't expect it to turn around so easily. Let's hope Game 6 tomorrow night goes well, without such a turnaround.

Denver's playing the Lakers in game 6 tonight... hell, the game's on as I post. I honestly don't know who to go for in this one...

So, Lakers won by 27. 119-92.

At least they'll probably have a strong chance against the Magic, if they make it...

I actually want to say the Magic swept the Lakers in the regular season, though I'm too lazy to go look.

You'd be right there, Nick.

Won't stop me from hoping the Lakers take it this year though. Cavs lost by 13 this time. :/

Oh my God did the Cavs play like shit tonight. Apparently, no one could cover the 3, drive into the lane, or get a rebound. Also, go Magic now, because I am not a Lakers fan. (Though I think the Magic will lose in 5.)

Yeah... that utterly puzzled me. They knew what they had to do right, but it... just didn't seem like they were putting any effort into it.

Lebron apparently didn't even take interviews after the game, either... though with how tonight went, it's probably for the better.

Been watching the playoffs, like always. (every year)

At first I was undecided on who I wanted to reach the finals. Eventually I just felt that the Lakers and Magic were the better team, and they were.

Orlando did beat the Lakers in the season, but it was with Jameer Nelson who was their leading scorer in both games. I got the Lakers in 6 this time.

Also, the best thing is that now, maybe those stupid Kobe/LeBron puppet commercials can stop airing.

Should be interesting.

Blow out. Once the third quarter started it became 'Kobe time'.

The Magic can deal with LeBron exploding as a solo act. They can't, however, deal with Kobe doing the same and having actual support by his team mates.

Needless to say, that game made my night.

Next game Sunday, 8PM. I'd say who's at who but my connection is being REALLY STUPID right now and breaking a lot.

Bah, I hate the Lakers.

Also, I think Kobe showed his 'angry face' like 8 billion times that night.

101-96, Lakers again.

Next game's at Orlando, at 9PM EST or so. (The Lakers schedule says 6, but I'm guessing that's PST.)

Pretty boring Game 2 until a few good moments in the 4th.

The definitive play of the game for me was not when Lee missed the layup. It was when Kobe tried to drive to the basket, ran into a triple team, and got blocked by Hedo from behind. If you look at his team mates you can count not one, not two, but three of them open for a better shot. Odom was right there. I know Kobe has the need to be the man or the hero, but a better player would know that the play was dead when the triple team came.

...and the horrible officiating continues. There were some bad calls in the 4th, especially. I'm half surprised they didn't call Hedo's block a foul.
