I'm not a big Kingdom Hearts fan, but I saw videos and screenshots. You've got to admit, Square Really knows how to make their DS graphics look beautiful.

:/ I'd be excited, but I have no idea about the whole Kingdom Hearts storyline as it is.
I need a PS2...

I have no PS3. D:
Oh well. Found one on eBay for $30. Ends tomorrow. Dunno how much a modchip costs.

Why would you bother with a modchip for PS2? Here's what I did...

I bought Swap Magic discs which comes with a Magic Key swap tool. After I got those, putting the Free McBoot installer on my PSP (Or any USB device) and plugging it in to my PS2 and booting the Swap Magic discs (There is a tutorial for this, you have to actually rename the installer to SWAPMAGIC.elf or something) it boots the installer and you install Free McBoot to a PS2 Memory Card. It gives you a modified dashboard with extra (customizable before installation) options. I for instance, have HDLoader (which lets you boot games that you install to the hard drive via PC or PS2. You use WinHiip for PC installations, and here is a compatibility guide.), Simple Media System (AVI/Other player), CogSwap (A much better solution instead of the Swap discs, you basically put in a high TOC game (Big file size basically, MGS3 is perfect for this) and then Press X, use the swap tool to pull the game out of the drive, put in your burnt game and press X again to play. Perfect compatibility this way as well.) and uLaunchElf which is a file browser/dash configurator that also lets you boot homebrew off USB.

It sounds like a lot to take in, but so long as you have a PS2 Memory Card with about 1.7MB free, Swap Magic discs with a swap tool, and follow a tutorial on how to install Free McBoot (Which takes about 10 minutes from start to finish), you are basically getting a chipped system for about $30. It's also worthy to note that you can have your normal unmodified PS2 run by not having the memory card in at boot, and since it installs to your PS2 version, if you know someone else with the same model of PS2, you can use it on theirs too. Or, there is a multiversion install that is about 3-4MB that makes it possible to work on any version of PS2, essentially a universal modchip.

Edit: Or you send a blank memory card to me and I can install the multiversion for you with whatever options you want.

It's out in Japan.

Impressions given: here

* The camera’s a bit sensitive, but simple to control with the touch pad. It felt very natural to me, and it was really easy to get accustomed to it. I found that my right thumb would often quickly drag to change perspectives, without me even realizing it.
* You can save anywhere.
* There are three difficulty levels: easy, normal and hard.
* Mission Mode uses a game save to play. You can log on as a guest, if you want. You characters to use in missions as you play the game, and initially only the first 13 members of Organization XIII are available. Each character has their own strengths and weaknesses, which you can see at a glance.
* Roxas is very contemplative. After each day he’ll think about what he’s done, and he keeps a journal you can access and read from the game menu.

It ranked top of sales in Japan last week.

It did it this week as well.
