When you read something, are you the type who can easily picture something in their head, or do you only see words?

I'm part of the former, myself. It's quite interesting when you're reading a book, for instance...

When my friend says "Yeah, I must be part French or something" when talking about relationships, there's a mental image.

That's another thing, the voices some people imagine.

I can't link up voices too well, unfortunately. :|

Eh, watching decent anime in both English and Japanese language adds for a database of expression. Nothing fancy, really.

Guess not watching much doesn't help. :|

And then for your layout I have no idea at all, since it's got multiple characters

I was going to change my layout when I got home anyways. I want a darker one.

Bloodstar: He's the one in the labcoat that likes little girls according to his username.

What to? I think I might miss you having that one.

I'm actualy really good at getting mental imagery, and voice and such. Pretty mucyh everything, except for how people look. Everyone pretty much just looks like a rather bland person, only the most noticeable features pass trough, such as long hair.

I am very good at seeing mental images. I am also very good at making up different voices in my head for when I'm reading lines that are said by different characters. After I see a movie that is based off of a book I usually forget how I used to image them and make them sound though (which is unfortunate because I usually like mine better ).

Me PM
I'm very good at imagining sights and sounds. I also tend to think about things a little much at times, which can be as bad as it is good.

It depends really. If I have an obsession with what I want to imagine, I can easily do so. It can even come to the point of popping up in everyday life at least 'soundwise.' I constantly hear TF2 sounds in everyday life... it's not even funny...

If I've just read it within a book, it can only really be put to an image and sound if I really care for it. I can try to put it to image if it did not happen the first time, but it's not the same.

I can usually imagine places in books and such pretty well - but they always end up having elements from places I know IRL. Specific games also sometimes remind me of specific places, also - I can still remember where I was the first time I finished NSMB.

I wonder what people imagine when they see my posts/layout..

----------------------------
When I play videogames... Obviously I have in my mind what I see and what I hear. Also I obviously have in mind what is going on in the game. As in, how's everything surrounding the characters actually like.

And then at the same time I picture the world from the characters point of view.

It's why I don't speedrun Kirby's Adventure. I can't help it but get too much into the game.

As for things like posts and such... Uh, either I picture random people with characteristics taken from what their usernames/layouts/avatars are/were, or strange things my subconscious comes up with.
However, that causes problems with people that don't have any sort of character nor anything to base anything from.
