After reading this thread I remember playing a lot old classics from back in the days. So yeah, which game from yesteryear would you wanna see remade for the system you have?

There's a lot of games from back then I'd love to see be remade for Xbox 360, Wii and Ps3. Here's the games I'd love to see remade atm...

Resident Evil 0
Resident Evil Remake
Resident Evil 2
Resident Evil 3
Resident Evil 4

These games will always have a special place in my heart.

Final Fantasy VI
Final Fantasy X
Zombies Ate My Neighbors (wait, no, I like this game the way it is, just release it on XBL)
original NiGHTS into Dreams
Lunar series
Chrono Trigger/Cross
Wing Commander series
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic series

That's all that I can think of right now....

Definitely the original Paper Mario, for either the Wii or DS. I remember I heard once about PM being ported to the DS, but nothing ever came out of it.

A game that I would love to see remade is StarTropics for the NES. It's one of my favourite games and it's always annoyed me that after the second game Nintendo kind of just forgot about the series .

Kirby 64 for Wii.

It had many flaws, namely in the gameplay/dificulty, and the graphics haven't aged too well... But holy crap if those were fixed.

Metroid 2. It's a terribly overlooked entry in the series due to being old and hard to find and on GB. It's too bad, because it laid the foundation for a number of things in the series, like Samus' big shoulders, Plasma Beam, Spazer, Space Jump, directional aiming, Metroid evolution, and more. Plus it has that kickass tunnel theme music.

Yeah but Metroid 2 is pretty linear... you know, with the whole lava-sinking thing and all.

I wish Nintendo actually followed through on the GBC re-release, to be honest.

I second this, I've always liked Startropics too, some kind of recognition for it would be nice. Metroid 2 also makes a great deal of sense, the way it is now, people really seem to forget it even exists, and the linearity could be messed with in the remake, if they wanted to.

As for my own, Final Fantasy IX would be nice, but that's just my ridiculous love for the game talking there. Also, a Golden Sun 1&2 compilation thing would be absolutely awesome, probably fit more on a portable than a console system though, and I haven't completely given up hope for a third game yet, but I really doubt it'll happen.

I'd like to see another Donkey Kong 3D platformer, DK64 was one of my faves back in the day.

I was actually thinking about DK64 the other day. Unfortuneately I'm not very hopeful for any more good Donkey Kong games because IMO ones that Nintendo have made without Rare's help haven't been very good .

That'd be pretty cool, that game would'a rock with co-op play. Bushido Blade and Einhänder were cool back in the days too...

iirc Rare said they were game to port Goldeneye to VC, but Nintendo didn't want it.

This game kicks ass and would rock with online co-op play, that's the PS1 version...

The Incredible Machine, Sim City 2000, and Age of Empires 2 please.

Yes, I know about Sim City 4, I just like the simplicity and the charm of 2000 better though, with the isometric pixel art and stuffs, but come on, The Incredible Machine! We need another one, maybe for the consoles!

I'm tempted to say Final Fantasy VI, but I'm too worried a remake could ruin it. The re-release with extra features for GameBoy Advance is good enough for me.

Besides that, a 3D Bubble Bobble for the Wii could be fun. The game could function differently usng the Wiimote.

Both were pretty much the same game, one just had cartoon physics.

But yes, yes it is.
