I added a link in my signature, but I figured I'd make a thread to get some feedback. Basically, I made a Centipede clone in Javascript. Use the arrow keys to move, the space bar to shoot and start the game, and the pause/break key to pause. If you get a high score, type your initials and hit enter to submit. High scores are stored server-side (the ones that say EMC, are me, the rest are filler). Anyway, give it a shot and tell me what's wrong with it. The link's in my signature.

Also, here's a screenshot:

Pretty neat, I use to love to play this arcade cause it had a ball instead of a joystick. I'm GT on your scoreboard, thanks! ^^,

Few things that don't mock the original:

Poison Mushrooms get changed back to normal on a lost life, regardless of being shot at or not.
Sound.
Mouse support.
Could've done a little better on the frames for flea and scorpion. Both can actually take their time, depending on how far along you've come, but grow faster as the stages progress.

All I can think of. Ranked in on second attempt but would've done better without the poison mushroom thing...I think that's what ticked me off the most.

EDIT: High scored. TJC's mine, btw.

Does now that you've pretty much taken my will to play out of it.

Fixed. Appartently, I misread the manual. I thought it said "all partially destroyed poison mushrooms are restored back to magic mushrooms", when it actually said "all whole and partially destroyed poison mushrooms are restored back to magic mushrooms".

Sound.

Working on it. I just have to track down all the sound files.

Mouse support.

I thought about this, but thought it would make it to easy. Maybe not, I try it out.

The scorpion does get faster as the game progresses, its speed it based on what level you're on. It can only appear after the third wave, but waves often go so fast you may not see it until later on, when it's faster. Maybe I should make it start out slower. The flea doubles in speed after it's shot once, but I wasn't aware that it supposed to be faster later in the game.

Thanks for the feedback.

Edit:
Ok, I added mouse support. Although, I not sure if it's a help or a hindrance. I can't control the mouse, only what it's moving. So, if you move your mouse over a mushroom, your 'zapper' will hit the mushroom and stop, but your mouse keeps moving, and you have move you mouse back over it to start moving again.

I also added a spot for an extra digit in the score. It originally only had 6, because I didn't figure anyone would even get a 6 digit score, apparently I was wrong.

Per my experience, the flea is supposed to get faster on its drop speed later in the game, and probably far later than the scorpion. I may be wrong about this but I did play it like no tomorrow back in the day when I had nothing more to tinker around with than this, Galaga, Missle Command, Tempest and Ms. Pac-Man.
