Apparently that thing IS Crystal, or rather speculated to be based off the beta female character they wanted to include before Crystal itself (similar to the Leaf Green girl)... I'm not pleased

People have already drawn a proper reaction to the girl's outfit, seen right here, if you scroll down a bit.

Apparently, to be one of the greatest pokemon trainers, you have to wear clothing.. makes you stand out like that.

...Really? Really Gamefreak? This is what you're doing? Honest to god...I was worried about the announcement from the start. Personally I'm too damned nitpicky and it takes away from my enjoyment of things a lot of the time. As a result, well...you can imagine just what this remake is doing to me. I'll reserve my judgments until I play. And come on, I know I'm going to end up loving it anyway. But that doesn't mean I'll go down without a fight.

Eusine, the Suicune events, the GS Ball event (yay anime tie-ins that never go anywhere), the Odd Egg (/Egg Ticket), the hidden Unown messages... None are terribly likely to make it.

Would be kinda cool if the Extremespeed Dratini was still in, but... I'm not holding my breath.

I'm torn about that Gligar artwork. It's either ridiculous, or ridiculously adorable. Still waiting on a new one for Furret, because Furret's awesome.

I'm hoping they don't botch Typhlosion's in-game art like they did in d/p/pt. He looked terrible in those.

I'm not surprised to see 3rd generation legends appearing in the remake. GameFreak is moving away from having to use 3rd generation games to obtain Pokemon because of the DSi. Soon enough, all 493 Pokemon will be obtainable in some form in between the five current generation games.

Also, the Japanese box art was revealed on CoroCoro as well.



It is nice to finally see the official box art version after seeing way too many fake versions on the internet over the years.

I figured there would be some mention of compatibility concerns now with the DSi, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised about it.

That said, though, this game alone might push me for a DSi. Then again, I said the same thing about Disgaea PSP and never jumped on it (though D2 PSP would make me react similarly, except the system's not that great).
