HEY CAN YOU SEE ME Well, we do actually sexualise both sexes in different ways, but not necessarily evenly or fairly.
For instance, Video games still have a big problem with sexualising females. There are some games who are entirely built upon the objectification of women. There are still female characters that are given almost no personality or brains but giant breasts and the like. But there are television shows and movies that go the other way and sexualise men. I can't really say the male characters in the Sex and the City series were really given much depth beyond their sexual or romantic characteristics. So yeah, we do sexualise both sexes, and society takes advantage of both of us. I suppose I can't say I mind; I'm probably as guilty of it as anyone, so um... let's just be even handed about it. Girls will wear bikinis and chocolate sauce as long as y'all take your shirts off and suds up my dishes for my entertainment ____________________ |
