I mean anywhere too. People will look twice at the music you are jamin' too and wonder where the hell you got these tunes from.

For me to start things off. I would highly recommend this mix from one of my Favorite RPG's of all time: Saga Frontier!

<object width="425" height="344"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/RzPARDdk1Fk&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

If you never played this game. You need to. Yes, you. Stop what ever you are doing right now and play this game. Again if you have to. Not only is this one bad RPG, but the music in this game rocks so hard it is heavier than fucking Metal. It is just that good folks!

That was the boss battle music from one character. Listen to the battle music from this game.

<object width="425" height="344"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/jIvr_SBmpAQ&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Awesome. Just awesome. Every battle in this game in the beginning seems like a boss battle. But it is pretty forgiving. The music in my opinion just sets the mood for the theme of the battle. Really pumps you up.

And for anyone who has never played the game: Take a look at this Game footage and see how you like the system. It's made from the same people who made Final Fantasy, but in my opinion this one game blows everything out of the water in terms of what they have made. Just promise me you will avoid every other Saga game but this one. The first one was the BEST one. And the music is fan fucking tastic.

It'd be hard for me to pick any one game. My system's near-dedicated to anything and any data format that I can possibly get emulated on my system...so it becomes a point where I no longer have just MP3s and other portable formats but NSFs, SPCs, GBSes, GSFs, etc. on my drive as well. Not to mention methods such as BridgeM1 that pull directly from ROMs themselves.

As of late, most of my attention's gone to either Persona 3, 4, or Ar tonelico II.

If we're gonna pull battle music...let's stop by Persona 4.

<object width="425" height="344"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pnLR8-bW_hA&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

And as for other things I can think of that's of note (a lot) one that particularly sticks out...

<object width="425" height="344"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/6ChrBp1pEGM&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

There's a lot more you can get out of my system. If I had any better and less restricted of an upload, I'd have my computer SHOUTcasting it nonstop.

This one from Symphony of the Night is pretty awesome. Goth Rock Opera.

<object width="320" height="265"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/J67nkzoJ_2M&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="320" height="265"></embed></object>

Stickerbrush Symphony should be a no-brainer. This song is just amazing.

I beat the holy living shit out of Symphony of the Night. You have no clue. That is one of my favorite games on my PS3 right now. Bought it for 10 dollars, and I used to have the Disc version until someone stole it.

Fire, you have a new respect from me.

And about persona. I never played any of those games before. But I do have a friend who talks about it like I do Metal Gear. So I really need to get my hands on the series sometime soon.

After playing ToS: Dawn of the New World recently, I became completely addicted to this awesome track (theme of the town Asgard in the game).

I'll also add Ape Escape - "New Freezeland ~ Snowy Mammoth" to that list - link.

I have a habit of sometimes listening to songs for hours on end. And I do mean hours. Sometimes 6-8 hours straight. I find it's easiest with song formats that loop seamlessly, namely emulated music streams and such. These are a few of the ones I've listened to the longest. There are a ton more that I could list.

<object width="340" height="285"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/6CLrQaStK8M&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="340" height="285"></embed></object>
Gloam Valley, Super Paper Mario
I love this song so much. It's the first song we heard in the previews for the game, so it's the one I associate most strongly with it.

<object width="340" height="285"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/BpwKQjkQL5k&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x006699&color2=0x54abd6&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="340" height="285"></embed></object>
Beach Bowl Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy
I've listened to this song for more than seven hours straight more than once.

Three of my favourite songs from three of my favourite games .

<object width="425" height="344"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dmPOeCgh8z4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I immediately started to love this song the first time I heard it. It really fits the mood of the level that it's played in.

<object width="425" height="344"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/iNOYt8_SCTg&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

A really good fast paced Japanese styled tune. I always love Japanese style music in video games .

<object width="425" height="344"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/rvPL6fP6Xlk&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Extremely epic music .

The funny thing is that I have actually listened to all of these song all day before .

I have a TON of video game music that I can listen to for hours on end. The old Donkey Kong games alone i still play just for the music, especially DK2. Another favorite song is Dire Dire Dock from Super Mario 64, or Star Hill from SMRPG. As a kid, I actually recorded these songs from my tv onto cassette!

Here are some other favorites that I have actually listened to for over an hour in one sitting.

<object width="445" height="364"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/pyS4hk-jnh4&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="445" height="364"></embed></object>
Downtown, Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers
So what if the Power Rangers have been out of style since 1994? The music in this game kicks ass, and almost makes me want to watch the show again everytime I play it.

<object width="445" height="364"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/byZtA5RJMJ8&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x234900&color2=0x4e9e00&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="445" height="364"></embed></object>
Floro Sapien Caverns, Super Paper Mario
When I first heard this song, I played the cavern level for hours just so I could keep listening to it. Best part is from 0:42 to 1:04.

<object width="445" height="364"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/xTkVMYAsdf0&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x5d1719&color2=0xcd311b&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="445" height="364"></embed></object>
True, Silent Hill 2
I've actually never played a Silent Hill game, but this song makes me want too. It definitely appeals to my goth side. There are also some awesome OC remixes of it available.

<object width="445" height="364"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/G_80PQ543rM&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x2b405b&color2=0x6b8ab6&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="445" height="364"></embed></object>
The Moon, Ducktales
Ducktales is a surprisingly kick ass game, and this song just shows off NES music in all of its glory.

<object width="445" height="364"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/t1_Wu71LU-I&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x2b405b&color2=0x6b8ab6&border=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="445" height="364"></embed></object>
Stardust Speedway Bad Future US, Sonic CD
Actually, just about every song in the all old Sonic Games rock. But Sonic CD is my favorite sonic game, and this song is my favorite song from Sonic CD. My computer actually plays a part of this song at startup

...and WAY more where that came from.

Most of Tenpei Sato's stuff (Disgaea, etc) can be listened all day long. Oh, and by the way, all I ever play is NIS games, GUST games or Atlus stuff (Shin Megami Tensei), so sorry for the lack of variety.

Hiryuu already posted stuff from from Persona 4, so I won't post any. But Heaven, from that game, is also great to listen to. The Almighty too (which is better than the True Final boss' theme)

<object width="425" height="344"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/56f2Kt6IeZU&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
From Persona 3 FES, one of the best songs of the already great OST. It's up there with The Journey's final boss theme "The Battle for Everyone's Souls".

<object width="425" height="344"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/X5tqJaCEoYQ&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
More Soul Nomad. I really like the style. As for listening to it all day, I've been listening to it on repeat during my exams this week.

And finally:
<object width="425" height="344"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/D7njfMeMBN8&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
From Mana Khemia. This isn't even a boss theme. But it's good. In fact, Mana Khemia has pretty good battle themes. Crystallized from the same game is also listenable all day long.

I'm glad other people are mentioning Super Paper Mario's music. I love the entire soundtrack.

Glittertown, Wario Land: Shake It!
This came to mind after seeing Higsby's post. This is one of my favorite tracks in the game, which is kind of funny since it's a remix of Greenhorn Ruins from Wario World.

I was actually surprised to see a remix from Wario World in the game (and a really good one at that). I'm a huge fan of music remixes or character reappearances in future games in a series .

DDR I was never to crazy about. I mean I used to play it back when I was hooked on Pump it up. But the only thing I liked was Captain Jack.

If you could recommend me some other songs. I would really appreciate it. I know there were a lot of favorites DDR players used to play back in my day (03)

Damn near anything from the Amiga and Genesis Turrican games.

...In fact, anything by Chris Hülsbeck or Jochen Hippel for that matter. Especially The Great Bath, which is actually my favorite song overall.

And, IMO, it feels even better when you know of The Poem for Everyone's Soul. Just makes it better because, you know, of how much time you spend in the Velvet Room.

Yea, I should've mentioned that because I was in a huge freaking rush this morning but you're right it does make that song all the more epic when you hear it the first time in comparison to the rest of the game.

Cuz you go 'ahhwwwwwwwwww SNAP!'.
