I used to use one of the ReallySlick savers, but It sucked up battery power too much and overheated the thing too easily.

Also, that pixelcity thign looks like crap on here, does it have some sort of config to it (ran it right from the .rar)

I can't use screen savers. For some reason, they like to turn on while I'm playing a game and it tends to freeze up said game.

My screensaver on my MacMini is LotsaEscher. It is awesome. Don't stare at it too long, it fucks with your eyes.

The one on this Mac needs to be changed. I think I'll set it to Soundstream, my favourite sound-responsive screensaver.

The video looks cool, but I couldn't get it to run. Wine doesn't run .SCRs I guess. As for what screensaver I use, it just picks one at random until I remember to kill xscreensaver.

I don't use screensavers.

Used to use Plasma (ReallySlick) though... And as for my DSL comp, Xscreensaver actually uses up too much CPU time for my comfort.

To me it's just a bit of a waste of electricity. I mean, sure, they look nice, but really, how important is how something looks that, by design, only shows up when you're not there to see it?

Yeah. It saves a lot more electricity for the monitor to just turn off. I also think of all that CPU time it's wasting... and potentially wasting life of the CPU just to draw pretty images.

Monitor sleep mode is just as ncie, too. I actually have my DSL comp set up to do such, as well, but I'm not quite sure how I managed, if I even did anything.

I just nudge the table a bit to wake them up.

I don't bother with screen savers, I usually just turn off the monitor. Mainly since I have a laser mouse, which is a bit oversensitive and does not allow screensavers to appear.
