((OOC @ Hiryuu: Xk got the right amount of SP... Half of the SP from Lily's Leever, and half of the SP from the Octorok. Xk gave a good rundown of the SP system in his post, too... ))


With the threats dispatched, the four continued combing the island.

Eppy found nothing but waves and sand on the beach...

Lily took a nap on the beach, recovering 4 HP and 3 FP.

Fate, moving to the square next to her, found a Yellow Coin partially buried in the sand.

X veered right into the path of another Leever, taking 5 damage from the hit.

Lily: Ah, that was a nice nap.. Let's see what's happened since..

Lily pulled out a PDA from her pouch and began traversing through the menus on the screen.

Lily: Tch. Maybe I should've looked around there for a Yellow Coin... Hm.. There's a Leever attack.. Ah! I remember how long it took to take one of those things out! But it was a Red Leever, wasn't it? Oh well.

Lily quickly put away her PDA, and pulled out a metallic suitcase. She unlocked the suitcase, revealing a heavily modified sniper rifle.

Lily: Uh.. let's see. I usually say the name of an attack, but.. Say goodbye to your head, wanker!

The red head quickly loaded a bullet into the rifle, and fired off a Superstrike at the Leever that was attacking X.

Lily: Wait, does it even have a head?

(OOC: Oops... that was supposed to be a Red Leever... )

Our four adventurers are still looking around the island...

Eppy shuffled into another Tokay hut on the square he'd moved to. Inside he found a Tokay looking at an interesting glass ball filled with what looked like smoke.

Tokay: "I found this ball on the beach. It's fun to look at. I can let you look at it, too, if you'd like."

But when Eppy reached for the ball, the Tokay hid it behind its back...

Tokay: "I can't let you look at my ball until you give me one of those green shiny coins you have. Come back with one, and you can take a look."

Lily landed a perfect...well, not a headshot, but a well-placed strike nonetheless. The Leever stopped moving and fell to the beach...
Lily gained 100 SP and 10 coins from the shot!

Picture, if you will, a gorilla going absolutely apeshit on anything you can think of. Think of it then getting its hands on nuclear armaments, and dropping a million H-bombs out of fury and that was barely a scratch to feed his rage. Multiply that by about a hundred.

That was about where Fate stood at that point.

Fate: RRRGHH!!

Tired, hungry, missing Nanoha, not knowing what the heck she was still doing...and it was so freaking hot.

Actually, it must've been because Fate was glowing bright red.

Fate: I'LL TEACH YOU!!!

For whatever reason, a Thunder attack did not occur. Instead, however, a bright orange ball of Fire shot out from where Fate was at, slamming into the Octorok with full force.

That very much surprised Fate. She didn't remember having knowledge of heat-based attacks in the slightest. Needless to say she was staring dumbfounded at her hands after that one, which were smoking slightly.

Channeling rage just seemed to go literal. Fate smirked, chuckling slightly.

Lily began putting away her sniper rifle, with a very pleased look on her face. Suddenly, she heard the sound of someone RAGEing.

Lily: Hm?

She turned and noticed Fate was dealing with an Octorok. Seeing as how the blonde haired girl managed to get damage from an Octorok even after attacking one earlier, Lily decided to help out. She opened a compartment in the sniper rifle case, and pulled out a slingshot. She picked up a small rock, loaded it up onto the slingshot, and fired a shot at the Octorok that was attacking Fate.

With a large portion of the island already explored, the four keep trying to get Maple's items back...

In her rage, Fate let loose a searing fireball... while it may have surprised her, it probably surprised the Octorok it hit just as much. The rock-shooter was seared for 5 damage.

Lily pulled out her sniper rifle and went after the Octorok that Fate had blasted. One shot was enough to knock it down, dealing it 9 damage... She and Fate shared the spoils, 96 SP and 8 coins.

Elsewhere, Eppy struck a deal with the ball-holding Tokay. Handing over a frog coin, the Tokay gave Eppy the Crystal Ball it was hiding.

Tokay: You can have this then. ... ... Shiny shiny~!

The Tokay was apparently so wrapped up in its new shiny frog coin that it didn't notice Eppy leave the hut with the Crystal Ball...

X reentered the hut where Maple and the shopkeeping Tokay were. Handing the shopkeeper Tokay 4 of his Scent Seeds, he retrieved two items, the Spellbook and the Ghastly Doll.

Tokay: Mmm, Scent Seeds! ... Okay, you can have these things, then.

Maple: About time!

Maple immediately snatched up the book and the doll from the counter. The pages of the spellbook were stuffed with extra sheets of paper, though, and one of these sheets fell at X's feet. He picked it up and began reading it...

"Healing magic, while known as white magic, can be performed by any mage. All one must do is focus enough magic energy within oneself, and... ... with enough effort, the user will be healed..."

Maple: Hey!

Snatching the sheet of paper from X's grasp, Maple stuffed it back into the spellbook.

Maple: It's not very nice to go reading other peoples' notes, you know!

With that, she stomped out of the hut back onto the beach...

Fate: Whew...

For whatever reason, that last attack took a lot out of her. Shaking her head, Fate figured she was probably getting tired from all the walking around this sanded plain. She sat down and took a quick Rest to restore some energy.

Lily: Wow. Somehow my slingshot attack worked just like a sniper shot.

Lily put her slingshot away in the sniper rifle case. She then put the case into her pouch.

Lily: Alright. I think it's time for me to totally start looking around! Oh, but first...

Lily closed her eyes, clapped her hands, and breathed slowly. Just like before, her concentration had granted her a Shield-like defense.

Lily cast a protective Shield on herself...

This was taking an awful long time in this area, she noticed. As far as the word she got back, everyone was doing their own little search job with little to report back...although it seemed people were finding things, since they were fanning out in near-random areas. She wondered if there might be something to speed the process.

Whatever the case, she sighed.

Fate: I'd appreciate it if we can tear through this place a little faster...regardless of your quips.

Bardiche beeped and shone for a moment, getting the point.

Bardiche: Yes, sir.
