Its SO photoshopped...just look at where the game boxes overlap. Good try though, they even went as far as to write out the katakana for "Johto"...so much so that they copied it verbatim from the bulbapedia article (ジョウト地方, Johto-chihou, or "area")

Appropriate, as Gold and Silver are incredibly spiritual games. Gen 2 is packed with buddhism and shinto references like you wouldn't believe (and it makes perfect sense that they would, as Johto is based on the Kansai region...), even a few of the Pokemon themselves hold spiritual meanings (Hoppip comes to mind especially)

Also the Sprout tower, where you had the monks preaching peace and coexistance. I enjoyed Crystal the most among all the Pokémon games, some how playing it makes me feel incredibly nostalgic.

And Bronze Tower, which burned down...actually has significance in some of our myths. I loved gold and silver because I'm a pretty spiritual person myself, so it all really touched home with me of course. That and the fact that they essentially made Bill an Osakan.

And now there's footage up. Kinda have to fast forward through it to see the tiny bit of footage of Chikorita following the player in New Bark Town.

There's something else to note: There's some wind effect going on in the scene. If that effect was already seen in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, then my apologies, I haven't gotten there yet ; If it wasn't... then does this mean more visible weather? Or is it simply a season thing? Or is it just Johto is windier than the other region? Hm...

The footage is from 4:22 to 4:34. You can hear the new version of New Bark Town's music, although there's also an orchestral mix (sounds kinda like the version from the orchestrated Melee soundtrack) of the G/S/C battle music playing through the part of the actual show where they're discussing the starters.

Also: Pichu plushie @1:48. Adorable.

It's because New Bark town has "the winds of a new beginning", according to the town's sign also that orchestra music of the title screen was from the anime, so its nothing new.
